Post Thrombotic Syndrome
Has anyone been diagnosed with this?. Broken my ankle in many places 5 years ago and then had DVT, On Warfarin but recently my leg has swollen twice the size. Nerve tests show a lot of damaged nerves, scan showed chronic scaring from previous DVT, INR is 2.6. PTS is thought to be the cause of the swelling

Dr in Boston recommendations?
Hi, my father was diagnosed with a "blood cancer" about a year ago. Unfortunately he or my mother do not hear very well (and may have gotten it wrong) and it was only this year when my father's platelets started to go up and he was getting sicker, he went to a specialist and they told him he had Thrombocytosis

Leg Claudication
Does anyone else have issues with leg pain when walking. I am trying to walk a mile a day and always have leg pain. I suspect peripheral artery disease. Is Peripheral artery disease a part of GCA/PMR?

Latest Consensus on Omega-3, Aspirin & Curcumin?
So in finishing up my deep dive into supplements, these were the three I had the most trouble making any definitive personal conclusions about so I wanted to do a review before putting them to bed to get any last input. My general feeling is without well-designed long-term studies (not retrospective

Xarelto (blood thinner) and hydroxycarbamide
When I was diagnosed a year ago with ET/PV I had already had a blood clot in my leg (large but superficial) followed a few months later by a small clot in my lung after treatment for a varicose vein. This was followed a few months later by two small clots - one in each lung. I was put on Xarelto 20

Exercising.
I was given a diagnosis of fibromyalgia, some 20+ years ago and at the time refused to allow this condition to ruin my life, however, I'm now 60, having had, multiple mini strokes in January, followed by an operation to clear my carotid artery, a very unstable thyroid and a long history of severe depression

Worried about my brother
My brother is recovering at home after 18 months in hospital from a brain injury . He’s had a catheter in all this time but 2 weeks ago this came out. He’s having to retrain his bladder. Since this came out he’s been increasingly exhausted. He’s getting up in the night a lot to pee. He suffers with fatigue

TTDF as FURSULTIAMINE HYDROCHLORIDE (B1)
*** I ended up with High Blood Pressure taking TTFD. I no longer take TTFD. Based on my experience, I would not recommend TTFD. *** looks like FURSULTIAMINE HYDROCHLORIDE has attached a hcl and is FDA approved. https://drugs.ncats.io/drug/T3557LWB27 for treatment of Alzheimer's .

D or C?
No idea if this is a nonsensical question. I had a fairly stable pattern of IBS D for 50 years. Ive not felt well for a couple of years and last year my GP ran a whole series of tests. Luckily, all tests were clear but I was told I was very constipated-huge surprise as I was still going to the loo

GCA symptoms after one year of discontinuing prednisone
I was diagnosed with GCA/PMR in 2017. I had a very slow taper of prednisone since, and now have been off for almost exactly one year. Last month I started to get temporary vision losses ( due to bending over in Yoga). My neuro opthamologist said eyes looked good, and that positional vision loss might

Platelets and contraceptive pills?
Hi good day, I read that contraceptive pills can cause platelet aggregation, does it applies also if it’s an emergency contraception? Am I risking myself if I take it once? I would appreciate you experience on this. Thank you very much 🙏🏼
