Vein problems on prostap!?
Hi All! I’m hoping someone may be able to help me or have had similar experiences. I’ve been on prostap for 9 months since my laparoscopy for endo and cysts etc. I have had extreme menopause symptoms since. The usual things like the hot flushes and brain fog. Also tingling, aches and pains, needing

raised blood sugar on prostap
hi I’ve been on prostap now for 17 months, I started feeling not as well on it about four months ago, low mood again, bag fatigue, cystic acne around my mouth, and my b12 and folate levels are low, but also it has raised my blood sugars, has anyone else had this? My consultant said I have to stop them

Disappointed
After Lupron, NUBEQA and Zytega … and a recent FDG Cat scan Several nodes lit up in the periodonal aorta area of his abdomen. Being totally right up against the aorta, a decision was made to remove them robotically. Surgery went well. All lymph’s were removed that lit up on the scan. docs felt PSA

Rectocele repair and laparoscopy
Hi everyone, this is my first post to any kind of forum at all so bear with me! I began having very painful periods after my c section with my second child, not really any heavier bleeding, in fact sometimes I barely bled properly but the pain was very intense. I've ended up in urgent care with suspected

MSK Consult Today
Thanks to everyone who has given me excellent advice regarding my husband’s pca recurrence. Today we met with an MSK uro oncologist for a second opinion. He completely agreed and supported the plan of radiating the high pelvic nodes (including the lower abdominal nodes along the bifurcation) and slightly

Disgusted with Healthcare
I had to request my PCP to do a PSA as it wasn't standard practice. I had to call the urologist, who I originally saw, after I joined this board and knew I should be starting ADT, even though they hadn't two months after my scans showed Stage IV. I saw the surgeon even though it was Stage IV and wasn't

Do I need an Oncologist?
Originally had PSA test that came back 28+ and was referred to Urologist. I was not interested in Surgery so the Urologist referred me to a Radiation Oncologist. After the radiation treatments were over I went back to the Urologist to continue the Lupron treatments. My last visit with the Radiation Team

PSA test at a different lab
I will be spending the winter in Florida. I have always had my PSA tested in Boston at the same medical facility for the last 7 years. In a perfect world I would travel back to Boston for a few day. Any feedback would be appreciated Thanks

Two week post SBRT update
Hello All, I completed my 5 SBRT sessions on 5/1/2024. My results have been very similar to ToolBeltZia so I have not posted repetitive daily entries. Here are some items that may be of interest. 1) Very similar issues with constipation as ToolBeltZia had following SBRT. That is just now improving

Stopping Orgovyx after six months
My brother has PCa as well. We keep it in the family... He had a PT ten years ago but his PSA rose so he got salvage radiation and went on Orgovyx. His MO said he would be on it for 18 months, as is SOC. He didn't like his MO so he switched to a GU MO. That MO said the research showed six months of ADT

Jevtana
Once again I am asking for any information that can be provided from this great group. Would appreciate any information for Jevtana treatment. At doctor's appt yesterday, my husband's hemoglobin had decreased to 7.6 and he had to have a blood transfusion. His Alkaline Phosphatase went up again. He

Small psa rise
RP in 2021 followed by recurrence 12 months later. 37 x RT and 18 months of zolodex which the last 3 month injection was April 2023. PSA less 0.01 consistently until last week 0.03. Do I need to wait until PSA is 2.0 or is there anything I can do before then?

Now what? Second go-around of docetaxel not responding.
I am 65 years old and was Diagnosed 8 years ago with stage 4 PC. Metastasis to hips, pelvis, ribs and many lymph nodes. Took 6 rounds of docetaxel followed by ongoing Lupron injections and then 3 years of Zytiga. PSA was driven down to 2.0 from 76 with 1st 6 rounds of docetaxel. Zytiga drove PSA down

Is it worth it?
I'm a 64 year old gay man married for 30+ years. I went to get my testosterone checked and it was slightly low but the doctor said before he prescribed T he wanted to do a PSA test. My PSA was 8, so he told me no sex or biking for 10 days and we retested and it was down to 5 which he said was still

Strong negative reaction to first Docetaxel treatment
I am participating in an NIH study combining Docetaxel with an immunotherapy. I had my first treatment of only Docetaxel this Tuesday. I lasted 2 minutes and 7cc before I had a severe reaction - severe flushing (glowing red from head to toe), difficulty breathing, sweating, uncontrollable shivering.
