Hi, I have read that Rick Simpson Oil maybe able to help with RLS. The only place I can find to buy it that ship to the UK is (westlandweed.com/product/ri...
The problem is that they have a minimum order of $200. A lot of money if it doesn't help. This is strong stuff at 85% THC. I have contacted the company and to see if they would send me a sample but they said no. Anyone have any ideas on where else to get it from. Also have you tried it? Did it help?
Thanks

It is illegal to bring it into the UK, so be wary. Customs might confiscate it if packaging says it contains cannabis oil.I have used legal medical cannabis frok a licensed UK clinic with 20% THC. It didn't stop my RLS, but it does send me into a deep sleep for 3 or 4 hours, so I slept through the RLS attack.
I am not sure I'd be able to tolerate 85% THC!!! I'd be completely high.
Thanks Jools. Do you know if you can use it while taking a low dose of gabapentin? It’s mainly to give me a decent sleep. I try not to take gabapentin every night as I don’t want to get too reliant on it but of course when I do this I am up every couple of hours. I expect I could use the CB oil when I don’t take the gabapentin
Gabapentin doesn't work on an 'as needed' basis. It takes 3 weeks to become fully effective, so taking it occasionally will not be very successful. If you fill out the IRLSS scale and you have moderate to severe RLS, then probably you will need meds for life if iron infusions/pills don't resolve it.
Gabapentin is sedating, so is cannabis. You may find the combination makes you very sleepy and dizzy.
I did use cannabis with 150mg pregabalin and didn't have any problems. It sent me into a deep sleep for 3 or 4 hours before the RLS woke me.
So you can try it and see how it affects you.
I no longer need it because Buprenorphine completely covers my severe RLS.
You can make your own RSO - look on YouTube. However, RSO is a really concentrated cannabis extract and the chief use is for cancer treatments. You might be better with just regular Cannabis oil with a smaller amount of THC.
I tried RS oil several years ago, when I had augmented on ropinirole. Just one drop under the tongue gave hours of hearth palpitations. I tried whether I would get used to it, but gave up after several days; t he heart palpitations were too unsettling and kept me awake!
As other also mention, cannabis(oil) with a lower percentage of THC maybe a better and also more legal option, especially in the UK.
