Would a trus biopsy affect psa results.

How many days after a biopsy can one get a psa done

doc has said to get biopsy done and then meet him with biopsy results and a fresh psa even though psa was done 3 weeks back and was 18

Three weeks back, he was not taking Bicalutamide. The new PSA will only show how he is reacting to it. Biopsies rise a bit the PSA and a safe restabilization period is 1-3 months, but in your case is irrelevant as the drop due to the Bicalutamide can easily be 10 times more. So, no point in waiting or trying to figure out what it would have been after the biopsy rise had washed out.
