ADT, Zytiga and Fitness
I'd like to hear from anyone who is trying hard to keep fitness up wile on ADT and Zytiga. I've been on ADT for 16 months now and close to a year on Zytiga. In between I've done the six cycles of Taxotere and 26 sessions of IMRT. Do you plateau on strength and endurance losses after a year or so of ADT

Finished HDR-BT and IMRT
It's been a long haul, started in March with neoadjunctive ADT, Lupron+Zytiga, for PCa diagnosed at t3bN1M0 +SV +/mesorectal lymph node, and PSA 33. By June, PSA had dropped to 1.0 just before going into HDR-BT with Dr Chang at UCLA. He did a great job, the procedure was smooth, drove home the next

Light Headed-High Blood Pressure?
Is light headedness a sign of high blood pressure? I am currently getting readings of 148-151/92 and have just started the monitoring process. Last year it averaged out at the desired figure so no action taken but now I think I will be needing bp tablets-anyone know of ones with minimal side effects

SIGNIFICANT METS PROGRESSION DESPITE LOW PSA, LOW ALP, LOW CALCIUM WITH LUPRON/ZYTIGA TREATMENT
My husband and I are in shock after our visit to Mass General where my husband got bone and CT scans last week. Lupron side effects - recovery?
IMRT + brachyboost + 9 mos of Lupron here. Numerous side effects - from wt gain, hot flashes, emotional roller coaster to genital shrinkage, higher BP and bone density issues - poster child for side effects. Ugh. Anyhoo, I've been told that it may take 6+ mos or more to "recover" from the Lupron side

I had an appointment with a GP today, to discuss options for lowering cholesterol. My blood test results in June: Total Cholesterol 6.91 mmol/L LDL 4.45 HDL 1.77 Triglycerides 1.49 Chol/HDL Ratio 3.90 The concern is the LDL cholesterol being too high. The GP checked my QRISK score, (10 year risk

Scavenger Receptor Class B Member 1 Independent Uptake of Transthyretin by Cultured Hepatocytes Is Regulated by High Density Lipoprotein
I really don't know where to start with this paper! Does it make any sense that T4 can be taken into cells whilst actually bound to a transporter protein (transthyretin)? Transthyretin is also involved with vitamin A (the name comes from trans(porter) thy(roid hormone) retin(ol) - a form of vitamin

Slowly getting into and used to LCHF. Coconut... Good or bad?! And how to work out how much Protein you should have a day?! Advice needed.
Hi. I've been slowly for the last 2 weeks reducing my carbs, and increasing my healthy fats. I've cut out bread, and grains, breakfast cereal now. With starting to look at what new things i'm supposed to eat, and being vegan for a long time. I bought a vegan keto 30 day cook book arrived 2 days ago

Hypertension patches
Has anyone used these? There is a advertisement Currently on fb but supplier is in US. I have been diagnosed with High blood pressure but have problems taking oral medication as I get bad skin reaction, like Lichen Planus, and feel it might be a better to use a patch instead. Lasbrisas

A Simple inexpensive Blood test can Predict whether you carry a CV risk in future or/and you carry a risk of type 2 Diabetes/metabolic synd
I was interacting yesterday with one of my close Cardiologist Friend (we were school friends), he tells me that one simple blood test- least expensive which people don't do- can predict if you carry any CV risk or type 2 diabetic risk.. For an existing type-2 , it can predict to what extent the beta

Hello all! Hope you are having a lovely summer. After getting back from trip - I needed a break from my health problems. I have tapered down from 50mg pred to 40mg. Doing ok. Well today at work I broke a tooth. I went to the dentist - they can do a crown tomorrow. I told them I was on prednisone but

Control Issues
Hey y’all. I am new to the forum but not to diabetes. I am 54 years old and have had diabetes since I was eight years old. So of course I am insulin dependent and always will be. I have had issues with my blood pressure on and off. It’s pretty good. But I have CKD stage III and they want it tighter
