Low sodium levels and Indapamide
Hi, I was taking Indapamide for 4 weeks and my BP was great, however my GP has taken me off them as he said my sodium levels are too low, now I'm on Doxazosin and my BP is right back up and I feel rubbish. Anyone else suffer from low sodium levels and if so is there anything you can take to increase

Dr Megan Rossi write on guts health in The Daily Mail, few weeks there was a write up on cholesterol,no comments on triglyceride therefore I asked the above question, " How important is triglyceride?" Visit to sleep clinic
I attended clinic (all geared up) to see consultant. Well it turned out that the appointment was with a triage nurse - not made clear on appointment papers. He was very professional and apologetic for the confusion. It soon became clear that he has the ear of the consultant who prescribes buprenorphine

spinal stenosis
Hi Does anyone have spinal stenosis? I was diagnosed 2 & a half years ago after MRI scan . The consultant said it was foraminal spinal stenosis, bilateral. Also 2 bulging discs in Lumber area . I was once sent to A&E as suspected cauda equina . But thankfully not . Also I’ve had sciatica for 23 years

Some hopeful test news:🙏🏻
My son had a PSA of 20 just 3 mo after RRP last October 24th. Prior to that we had no idea from his test results that the PC was outside of the prostate. It had gone to his pelvic lymph nodes plus he’s tertiary five. He’s been on generic Zytiga and prednisone and Lupron and finished six weeks of IMRT

Sweet!
Had 2nd of 90 days Lupron Feb 1-23 as adjuvant 6-month ADT therapy with my Salvage IMRT. First PSA test yesterday and T level. Undetectable (less than .006 uPSA) and T level of 30. Here's to hoping it stays down. I know BCR may happen over the long run with SVI, PNI, bladder neck, and surgical margins

Others don’t understand
I know we’re all usually talking about our meds, but I’m wondering how everybody is faring when trying to explain to others what we go through. I’ve had my adult children question why I take oxycodone. Some seem to understand, some are very judgmental. RLS can start at 10:30 am, and is why I’m spreading

Would you have NODAL RT in 5 fractions?
Prostate SBRT in 5 fractions has now been adopted as standard of care for all risk levels of PCa. But doctors are now turning their eyes to nodal radiation (Whole Pelvis RT - WPRT) in 5 fractions as well. I am having HDR Brachy boost therapy with follow up node radiation starting next week at

MRI-Guided ViewRay for Salvage Radiation
Looks like I'll be soon heading for 6-7 weeks of IMRT salvage radiation. Has anyone been treated or aware if MRI-guided linacs such as the Mridian Viewray offer an advantage over CT-guided ones when it comes to post-op salvage radiation? With prostate gone, it seems a higher portion of the bladder and

Happy Days are here again - PSA post IMRT
Hey y'all, I had labs done at AIS as I was there for a post op check after the 28 IMRTs. T under 10 and PSA dropped again from 5.2 to
3.89
💙
,
but I normally go thru Kaiser and this was Quest Labs. I think Kaiser sends out PSA to another lab. This PSA is the lowest in a year PTH

Diarrhea and gas after radiation...
In 2019 I had 37 fractions of IMRT. First three years i had no issues to speak of concerning bowels. Last year I had a colonoscopy which showed enlarged blood vessels which was causing the occasional blood in my stool. My question is this...how many of you have had diarrhea and gas show up a few years

Keppra increases
Started on 250mg. keppra tonight after failing clonodine quickly (leg cramps and increased blood pressure did in that one). 250mg isn't enough, at least tonight, and I am wondering how quickly I should increase. Doc says I can go up to 750mg. and I have a terrible time with tolerating medicines. Any

Buprenorphine vs. hydromorphone or other opioids
So I noticed during and after a recent TKR that the buprenorphine that I take for my RLS interacts with the hydromorphone that my surgeon prescribed for me for pain. First, when I was taking my buprenorphine along with the hydromorphone, the hydromorphone wasn't easing my pain because the buprenorphine
