HiContinuing saga of BP meds issues (had fainting fit and banged my head on sink while on holiday 5 stitches much expense!)
GP thinks BP fell too low still having issues with Losartan and have stumbled across the above. Anybody had experience of this or any other natural alternative?
Thanks !

never heard of it so looked it up. Cannot find it! What’s in it?
It’s always a good idea, providing your BP isn’t giving you the risk of an immediate cardiovascular event, to try lifestyle and diet pathways to keep your BP under control
Thanks for your response. Trying to establish average readings now something GP has never done. Not looking too bad so far. I am not overweight don't smoke or drink and keep fit. Not sure what more I can do !
I had to come off Losartan. It stopped working for me and also gave me low sodium levels in my blood which caused severe pain weakness and dizziness. I’d already tried other BP meds and they all gave me side effects so I decided to try without them. I check my BP regularly to make sure it’s not too high. Usually about 135/85 which I’m quite happy with at 72. I now take a natural supplement which is supposed to help. Blackcurrant Seed Oil. Haven’t heard of Cardiform I’m afraid.
Bobby, no-one has responded to your specific question about that product, so perhaps it’s marketed under a different name elsewhere in the world - you haven’t put your country on your bio.
You’ve said “what else can I do” and I assume the doc has talked to you about what you can do. But have you thought about your diet? Salt raises BP and is hidden in many things including bread for example.
Personally I follow the recommendations of Blood Pressure UK on my diet - lots of veg and so on. Are you familiar with their website?
Hi Happy Rosie hope you are well today and thanks for reply. I am in UK just googled natural supplements for BP and cardiform popped up. Not sure about content but will investigate further after I have spoken to Doc. Unfortunately they haven't discussed anything with me even after 15 months of trying different meds. Readings are not bad without meds around 130 ish. My diet is good but will check website there may be something I am missing. Thanks again for your help . Will keep you posted.
i found cardiform eventually, but couldn’t find the exact contents. So I personally wouldn’t trust it unless it could demonstrate the exact formulation and some proper explanation of why it’s on sale. I’d have said a good diet (there’s the DASH diet and the NHS Eatwell one, if you need to follow a formula, would be the way to go.
