Hello, I hope everyone is doing well and has all the support you need around you.
I'm on my first cycle of IVF - started ovarian stimulation last Monday, so it's been a week. I had my first scan from which the clinic said they were developing rather slowly (the number is ok but the sizes are small), so they advised that I should increase the dose of stimulation med. They obviously told me it's nothing to worry about and we'll see how the increased dose would give it a boost at the next scan (in 2 days), and I am not too worried but of couse a little bit worried!
My period stopped when I was 22 due to stress, and it never came back until last year. Since then my cycle was all over the place and often very long (45+ days), so I kind of knew that my ovaries are a bit slow. But I was hoping that my IVF would just go as it should, and was even hoping that I'd have an egg collection at the end of the week (which they said was unlikely now).
I am just writing with a bit of hope that someone here might be able to share some similar stories which gives me a bit of reassurance that even if the stimulation phase takes longer than the standard protocol that can be ok and it can work in the end.
I'm 33, AMH approx 20 pmol (on average!) and going through IVF due to tubal factors.
Thank you so much for reading and wishing you all the very best x
