Tooth extraction
Hi, unfortunately I’m having a tooth removed on Wednesday morning. The dentist had advised not to take my morning 5mg apixiban dose which I’m happy to do as I’m not in AF having had a successful ablation. What experiences have members here had? Is missing one dose sufficient? Would appreciate some advice

Have NICE guidelines for tooth extraction changed?
https://cks.nice.org.uk/topics/anticoagulation-oral/management/apixaban/ As my dentist gave me a choice of root canal and crown or extraction of a premolar this morning, I chose extraction and started researching. Last time I had one I was told to take apixaban as normal and that was a molar. I ignored

With CLL, infections can be fatal. Why hasn't rapid sequencing for serious infections and sepsis (Metagenomics) become standard of care?
Patients and their families don’t know about this technology, but if they did, and started clamoring about it, we might begin to see some
traction
. I keep thinking of how many lives we could save (and could have saved) if only we responded to the charge in Peacock’s 2014 editorial.

Another Adrenaline concern….
I have the beginnings of implant work tomorrow, with the initial drilling. I have just read a stream of posts on adrenaline injections and I am now even more anxious ! I have had a discussion with my dentist and he said he will use ‘reduced’ adrenaline dosage, but is it worth the compromise ? If adrenaline

tooth extraction
my problem still hasn’t gone 😞. It’s been 3 weeks since my tooth extraction and it got infection .. hfmd has bin and gone but the toothache seems to be there still! Can it spread to other teeth? Coz I feel like the pain has spread to teeth on that side. Still have to take painkillers. Made an emergency

hand foot and mouth disease
I’m only just recovering from a tooth extraction palava where I got an infection and aching loads. Then suddenly pain got worse and it’s this problem! Awful. Hands are better but mouth won’t get better. Spots r clearing up but that original tooth area is killing. Is that to do with the hfmd or the original

tooth extraction and Edoxaban
hi I have AF and take 60mg of Edoxaban and Bisoprolol (10mg) daily. Am due to have tooth out mid September and wondering how others have managed with taking the Edoxaban and tooth extraction/bleeding. Plan to talk to my dentist beforehand but has anyone experience of tooth extraction whilst on anticoagulants

Lupron vs. Coco- who will prevail?
You kick start the action, and soon I gain
traction
. . You apply some warm lotions Then start soft hand motions. . Your use of witchcraft, does always amaze. Back in the saddle, we are like old days. . Even without, the milky wet jaction, You know that I get, such great satisfaction. .

Dental treatment. Tooth extraction.
I (82years old) have mastocytosis. One of my teeth has to be extracted. Has anybody had any experience with local anaesthetics and the necessary medication for the procedure? Is there a dentist in London who would treat under the circumstances, private or NHS. I am quite desperate and very grateful for

My physio gave me
traction
treatment on my neck last week , for cervical spondylosis , I have been having dizziness and neck pain . . I can not tolerate that again. Wondering if anyone has had accupuncture for neck problems . Which he has now suggested. I feel awful at present.

Stopping Apixaban before tooth extraction.
I have a tooth extraction impending and am not sure whether I need to stop taking Apixaban. The dentist said that I should ask the GP. A cardiac nurse (who I was talking to about something else) said the same thing. I rang the GP surgery and they told me a GP will call me (which I didn't think was really

After 5days of oral discomfort after a tooth extraction my body weakness is frightening me... I feel so limp+empty!
Dentists really scare me and as I tried to overcome my deep rooted fear for 2wks I did attend! I survived but was very wobbly after the shock of it all! My partner looked after me and obviously aftr the anaesthetic wore off my mouth was incredibly sore+it really felt my gums were experiencing tooth pain

Hi all! Has anyone had a tooth extraction whilst taking Ibrutinib? Did you have to pause medication for a few days?

Anyone with experience with Altra Lone Peak 3, 4 or 5?
So I’ve been doing my research and have come to the conclusion that my chosen model should be:
Altra Lone Peak
The Altra Lone Peak 3 was more rigid, Altra Lone Peak 4 onwards seemed to balance cushioning and
traction
and flexibility just right, whilst still having a wide toe box and a zero

clopidogrel , how long have you been taking it ?
Hello everyone 😊 just asked the nurse a general question about clopidogrel and tooth extraction, because of the risk of bleeding etc She was very surprised that I’ve been taking it for 6 years as it’s normally prescribed for a year , I have a docs appointment on the 17th so I’ll ask then , I just wondered
