First run of ‘21
My friend Amy organized this run and we were expecting horrible conditions with freezing rain last night, but we got some snow too and the temps warmed up to soften the ice and give us some
traction
and perfect running temps.

Dry socket after upper wisdom tooth extraction?
Hi there! I had a bottom wisdom tooth extracted in November. I am allergic to codiene so when I got dry socket, all I could take was paracetemol and ibuprofen. The dentist couldn't offer me any pain relief medication and my doctor's office basically just thought I was scamming them for painkillers when

I've been looking at
traction
things that you put on outside the shoes but they would have to be removed to go indoors so not the most practical. I don't drive so I walk to the shops. Thanks in advance for any sharing

Tooth extraction pain
Hi everyone. I’m new on here so hope I’m doing it right. I had a top canine tooth extracted 2 weeks ago. I’m still getting a lot of aching pain high in the gum. Been back to dentist 3 times. He assures me I don’t have dry socket. Surely the pain should be easing off now

Dental surgery when on prednisone?
I have had PMR for a year and have slowly tapered from 10 mg to 4 mg prednisone. I’m still tapering very slowly. I can’t tell if my adrenal glands have kicked in again yet or not, but in general I am doing pretty well. I am now scheduled for a tooth extraction that I had been putting off because of Covid

W9 R1 - anyone else running with a stroller?
I live in the country side so i basically only run on dirt roads, which in this case is good ’cause of
traction
and stuff i guess. But, i’m still a bit scared now that it both snows and the ground has frozen. Any tips and tricks? Wish you all the best and a nice holiday season!

Dental surgery post heart attack
I suffered a heart attack in April 2020 and upon discharge was prescribed, amongst other medications, the anti-platelet ticagrelor; I was already taking another blood thinner (aspirin). Next week I am due to undergo a tooth extraction at my local dental surgery and my dentist has requested that I stop

Tooth extraction query but taking methotrexate.
I have just been to the dentist (new young lady) and been told that I need to have a tooth removed but as I take folic acid? ( think she meant methotrexate so queried her) I must be referred to hospital as the bone may not heal. I asked whether there was a problem removing the tooth and was told it was

Actemra and weight
I've been on Actemra for about a year. Been off it for a few weeks because of tooth extraction and rheumatologist wants me to restart. RX insert and other research says most biologics and more specifically tocilizumab (Actemra) causes weight gain. I lost significant weight while so sick with GCA even

Tooth extraction on Edoxaban, just before Xmas : (
OK..... I may have to have a back tooth taken out on the 23rd. Dentist can't see me until then, but is warning me in advance! She has said don't take Edoxaban on that morning. Last time I had an extraction, I was still on Warfarin and the socket wouldn't stop bleeding later in the day and I ended up
