Life is unfare
I had my mastectomy in late December 2016, had to spend 3 months in a nursing home because of various problems and they looked after me wonderfully. Then this year I had 2 melanomas on my skin which had to be lazered of. Then my husband died end of July and now I have 3 hospital appointments to attend

Post Vasectomy pain
Hey, I had a vasectomy on 14/09/18 done by scalpel. My entire sctroum and shaft has bruising, the pain has increased as the days have gone by, especially on one side there is a sharp ache like that area is trapped under something tight. don't know anyone who has had a vasectomy so just wondering if this

Hi everyone from NZ. I got lymphedema in my left arm 12 years ago following a double mastectomy post Inflammatory Breast Cancer. I have had cellulitis several times and my GP used to give me anti-biotics if I was going away. However my new GP won't - says see a Dr when overseas. Not always possible!

Medichecks results re. Iron status - how do I maintain a good level?
I have just received the results of a blood test for iron from Medichecks and would appreciate comments and advice as to how to keep a good level of ferritin. At the beginning of the year my ferritin was 33 though my GP assured me I was not anaemic and when I posted my results SeasideSusie agreed. However

Medical care getting older
I do not get anxious "out of the blue", but from outside influences. As I get older I find all of this arthritis, chronic back pain, plantar fasciitis pain, etc. incredibly annoying. My children don't want to hear about my physical problems, so only have hubby to talk to, which I try to cut down on

6 month check-up: feeling great, but whoops!
So, I have been wanting to post about my recovery after first line treatment for high grade serous Ovarian Cancer, but I thought I would wait for my sixth month check up. They only run a CA-125 blood test and talk to us, and only require a CT scan if your CA-125 climbs. I have been feeling better and

Very worried about undiagnosed autoimmune disorders.
Hi everyone I’ve been experiencing many hypothyroid symptoms for a few years now. GP has been saying results are normal. After advice from this forum I requested copies of my blood results from the last 3 years. I’ve looked through them and i’m worried they indicate I could have autoimmune diseases.

Need pneumatic sequential pump for secondary lymphedema. But what kind?
I'm 76, female. Have secondary Lymphedema following radical cystectomy November 2017 when 28 lymphnodes removed. Immediate swelling in left leg, thigh and abdomen, then right leg in May. Compression garments don't feel right over the stoma/ileostomy. Have hernia there as well. lSo I'm told to get a pneumatic
