Urethra Stents
Hi all I’m due to have a total hysterectomy bowel resection and stents in my urethras next month whilst I’m slowly getting my head around the amount of surgery I need I’m most worried about the stents my endo nurse said your body tries to reject them as they are a foreign object which can be uncomfortable

N. E. D. on Ibrance
I truly appreciate the information and sharing on this page. I had cancer 12 years ago,, had a double mastectomy, removed the sential node. In October of 2017 I found a pea-sized lump under my right arm. Biopsy showed breast cancer had returned. Scan showed breast cancer in my liver, metastatic. My oncologist

Increased inhibin b levels
I was diagnosed with granuloma cell cancer as my type of ovarian cancer 4 months ago. I had a complete hysterectomy including removing my appendix and part of my abdominal wall 3 months ago. At that time lymph nodes were removed and it appeared that all the cancer had been removed. My inhibin b levels

Endometriomas post hysterectomy
Morning ladies, I had a total hysterectomy two years ago for endo, adenomyosis and pid. Although I feel much better and have a more normal life, my recovery was plagued with complications and I have just been told that the endo has returned in the form of endometriomas on each ovary :( The cruel irony

I am new
I'm new here, hello everyone. I was diagnosed in June this year with Grade 3 ER+, PR+ and HER2 positive 3+ ductal carcinoma. My treatment started in July with chemotherapy for 6-7 sessions, every three weeks then follows with surgery, mastectomy and then medication for 10+ years after. I am proud

Strangeley high BP
Why would my normally good Bp (120/70) jump up dramatically to 155/90? Is this a thyroid thing or cos I’m due a total knee replacement and maybe worrying or the stress of the pain is making it go up?

Mastectomy scheduled
After the waiting period following scans and more biopsies I’m having a radical mastectomy on Monday . The consultant said the scan showed no spinal involvement but there are two separate types of tumour in the rt breast . As I’m a 38DD it will be very noticeable I guess , but that’s the least of the

Post Vasectomy pain
Hey, I had a vasectomy on 14/09/18 done by scalpel. My entire sctroum and shaft has bruising, the pain has increased as the days have gone by, especially on one side there is a sharp ache like that area is trapped under something tight. don't know anyone who has had a vasectomy so just wondering if this

Life is unfare
I had my mastectomy in late December 2016, had to spend 3 months in a nursing home because of various problems and they looked after me wonderfully. Then this year I had 2 melanomas on my skin which had to be lazered of. Then my husband died end of July and now I have 3 hospital appointments to attend

After some advice and more info . .
I've not posted here for some time and I've NOT been diagnosed by my GP with thyroid issues (yet)! However, I've just had my annual blood test in connection with my type 2 diabetes which is diet controlled i.e. no meds or insulin. The surgery phoned me a few days after the blood test asking me to phone

Hi everyone from NZ. I got lymphedema in my left arm 12 years ago following a double mastectomy post Inflammatory Breast Cancer. I have had cellulitis several times and my GP used to give me anti-biotics if I was going away. However my new GP won't - says see a Dr when overseas. Not always possible!

Medichecks results re. Iron status - how do I maintain a good level?
I have just received the results of a blood test for iron from Medichecks and would appreciate comments and advice as to how to keep a good level of ferritin. At the beginning of the year my ferritin was 33 though my GP assured me I was not anaemic and when I posted my results SeasideSusie agreed. However
