Holly Kitchen (MBC Video)
Watch her video. She explains how misunderstood it is and how she herself did not realize you can get MBC even after having mastectomies. Put it in youtube or just google Holly Kitchen and MBC. Many of you may have seen it, others may have not.

Trying to raise GFR (stopped eating red meat) but have chicken
Thank you for accepting me into this group. I was stage 3 for 9 years, always stayed at that until 18 months ago when it dropped to 30 right down to 23, stage 4. Had a pre op for tkr but obviously couldn’t have it done, still haven’t had it done, I am now at border egfr 30, just back in stage 4. Only

Rejected! Again!
Came back from yet another neurologist and yet another disappointment. Had my Iron test done before the visit as well as B12, which happens to be 812. For Iron, TIBC: 266 Transferrin Sat: 12.78%. Iron :34. As per Dr B, for ferretin less than 50 and Transferrin less than 45, IV Iron is a good choice

Binder or no binder?
Did anyone use an abdominal binder after total hysterectomy surgery for support? If so, was it NHS approved? Any recommendations? Have operation in just over a weeks time.

Blood test results - v confused
Hello everyone! Firstly, can I just say thank you for even reading this post. My situation is, I was diagnosed hypo after I had my first child April 2017. My dose of Levothyroxine has been 200mcg since last September and GP's would not increase it. I have now finally been referred to an Endo following

Hi - I'm new here
I've been poking around here for a couple of weeks and decided it was time to jump in. Diagnosed in 2008 - right after my 50th birthday - with stage 3 breast cancer. Bilateral mastectomy, removal of most lymph nodes on affected side, lots of heavy chemo & radiation. All stayed quiet on Letrozole until

AF episode and TKR
I finally got my TKR on Friday but the wound wouldn't stop bleeding (not a great deal, but enough for surgeon to be concerned), despite being off my rivaroxiban for more than the required amount of time! I was made to keep my knee tightly bent for 4 hours for compression after surgery as he said it would

Post chemo abdominal discomfort - adhesions
I am about two months post chemo for stage 4 ovarian cancer recurrence. I am told I am in remission. But now I have quite a lot of abdominal discomfort, sort of like menstrual cramps. Could this be due to adhesions? I did have a complete hysterectomy along with removal of appendix and some lymph nodes

Do I have iron deficiency?
Hi all. Can anyone please have a look and see what they think of my results, if I am possibly deficient in iron? To me it looks like my iron serum & transferrin saturation are on the low side. However my ferritin is in the normal range, so my doctor has said I'm fine. BUT I don't feel fine. I have

Post-op advice please!
I am preparing for a laparoscopic total hysterectomy, bilateral salpingo oopherectomy and excision as I have Stage 4 Endo. My operation is scheduled for August 12th and have been told that the bloating from the gases used during operation can be painful so I’ve been researching medicines. I have come

Iron studies, TFT
Hi all What do I need to ask for with regard to iron studies? The one I see is serum iron, ferritin, transferrin, saturation ratio, then there are others that also look at other things including haemaglobin - the price goes up as you can imagine. The really expensive one also has Vit D 25 Hydroxy and

Gas/Bloating Relief!
I am preparing for a laparoscopic total hysterectomy scheduled on August 12th and have been told that the bloating from the gases used during operation can be painful so I’ve been researching medicines. I have come across Gas-X quite a bit but we don’t have that here as I’ve been ringing pharmacies and

Leg spasms and PMR
Thankyou all for responding to my problem. I have started taking Prednisolone again. When I wrote my first post I wasnt taking prednisolone. The doctor advised me today to do this. He also said seeing the specialist this month was advisable but he couldnt say my leg spasms are connected to this flare

Hi: I have to ask quick question though it appears most people on this site take better care of themselves via diet and exercise holistic therapies, etc. My confession is that when I began ibrance/Letroziole 20 month ago I thought (I know know that’s not true) well I’m only gonna live 22 month if even

Frankincense
I've been putting Frankincense oil on my chest since day one and taking a drop of oil in a capsule daily. My daughter just brought me a bag of Frankincense crystals to make water with. I took my first ounce today and my old mastectomy scars are itching like crazy! Itching has always been a sign of
