6 weeks post excision surgery and still can’t walk far.
Hi, I’m 42 years old and I had a laparoscopy with four incisions 6 weeks ago. The surgeon said endo was severe and excised it from all of my reproductive organs and from my bladder, pelvic ligaments and an artery. They also removed endo cysts from both ovaries. Apparently everything was stuck together

Urgent help needed. Extremely severe RLS, cannot identify cause.
It's so goddamn severe that at this point, I either have the most severe case of RLS in medical history or it's something else. I rate it 9 on the severity scale. Did every possible test related to RLS (iron, vitamin D, etc) except for for transferrin saturation and serum iron because it wasn't available

Has anyone experienced this, whilst having Prostrap injections?
I’m 51 and due for a
total
hysterectomy
(due to extremely heavy bleeding and pain over about 2 years) I’m meant to be having the op after i have finished a 3/4 month course of Prostrap injections. I have multiple fibroids, Adenomyosis and endometriosis on both ovaries.

iron test results help please
I must admit that even after a few years, while I mostly understand my thyroid test results, my iron tests continue to confuse me - I just can’t seem to get my head around the significance of the different parts. So I wondered if someone who actually understands could please explain in really simple

abdominal pain with PD catheter
Since having a PD catheter placed 4 months ago I keep getting episodes of lower abdominal pain. The pain is deep, intermittent, and sometimes severe enough that I have gone to the emergency room. But labs and scans find nothing wrong. I’m not doing dialysis yet, since GFR is sitting at 15. I am on a

Iron and magnesium levels plus
Hi everyone. I recently had blood tests done as suggested and results have come back showing slightly low magnesium level at 0.68mmol/L and serum ferritin level of 60ng/ml. (Low?) I've been asked to go back for retest on the magnesium but no mention of the iron? Looking back on my test results I had

Influences of sleep and the circadian rhythm on iron-status indices
I suspect few, if any, of us have ever really thought about iron tests varying by time of day. However much we understand with regard to thyroid, somehow I think most of us imagine iron as being more "bucket chemistry". But this paper might force us to re-assess! [i]

TKR post op review
I’ve just about calmed down enough to share this experience now. Last week was my six week post op check appointment. It was a half hour journey but roadworks made it an hour. I rang ahead to explain but when we arrived the consultant was shouting out my name. I told him I needed the loo first and turned

Bowel endometriosis, 11 years post total hysterectomy
I had a
total
hysterectomy
11 years ago conserving my ovaries. Unfortunately my most recent mri has shown DIE present in my bowel. I am waiting to be discussed at a multi disciplinary team meeting for surgery, which looks to probably be a bowel resection & removal of endometriosis.

'Interim' GP blood results and trying to draw conclusions
Hello, A GP I saw recently (long story but not same one who gave me increase in Levo) ordered bloods. I have been on 100 mcg of Accord for 4 weeks, so wasn't planning to test for another month. The following were tested, I've included the same NHS results for comparison earlier this year.: NHS

x - rays
hi - when I went first to my Rheumatology dept 4.5 years ago - I had a X-ray on my knee as I’d had a lot of pain and swelling there. I’d tripped up at work. No evidence of any damage was seen. over the intermittent years including lockdown I ve had worsening swelling and more present pain. More drugs

HRT after Endo and full Hysterectomy
Hi 2 years ago I had a full hysterectomy following having stage 4 endo which was everywhere but mainly 15cm chocolate cyst on my ovary and stuck to my bowel. Resulted in me having bowel surgery at the same time as my hysterectomy with a temporary stoma. I had a 3 weeks stay in hospital with complications

low lying placenta - 32 weeks
Hi, hoping to hear from others who have had/are having the same experience as me. I was told from 20 weeks that my placenta was low-lying, partially covering my cervix, and was at the front. I had another scan at 30 weeks which showed little movement - it is still partially covering my cervix. I am 32

Hysterectomy Consideration?
Hi all. I’m considering a hysterectomy, I’m 34 but have had all the babies I want to have and the pain and bleeding is worse than it’s ever been now. I’ve had three laps with removal, all by a very good endo specialist surgeon, chemical menopause, every contraceptive possible and tried diet changes

Back again more ranting
So I've been away from here for a while, I've been up since 3, I had a hysterectomy in march last year for the endo and they left my overies, which I think was stupid considering they said it was on one of them I was told, and I'm still experiencing pain a year on what more can they do?? I've been waiting
