I feel a bit left to my own devices but I'm not worried
Started pred 15mg on 23rd April, stayed on this for 6 weeks (a bit longer than I was advised by GP but I had a fall) then went to 12.5mg for about 6 weeks, now on 11mg since 3 dys ago ( my own dosage because I was scared to drop from 12.5 to 10). Feel ok at the moment. I had a phone appt with rheumy

Joint Pain from Prostap
I've got stage 4 endometriosis and a large ovarian cyst that I had diagnosed in June 2019 and waiting to hopefully have surgery this month. To help manage the pain, I have to inject prostap every 10wks since Dec 2019 and since the last injection, I have had very sore knee joints which feels unusual

Kill Breast Cancer cells and their secondary peeps ! Omega 3 is important. Omega 3 consists of DHA/EPA. Read On.
I'm on Ibrance/Faslodex. For 6 months. Besides my Onc, I do have an integrative holistic onc. I'm ER/PR positive/Her2 Negative. All of us should be taking Omega 3, however, part of that mix is a combination of DHA/ EPA. In my particular case, DHA is huge. She suggested I amp up DHA/ I ordered this

Alendronic Acid and Gaviscon
Another newbie question. Had some bad gastro side effects from my first dose of Alendronic acid last week. Am going to persevere for a few more weeks to see if this settles. Meanwhile a nurse at my GP surgery suggested I try Gaviscon or Omprazole later in the day after taking my tablet. Has anyone successfully

Sandie1961 has already posted about today’s outing to a real event but I wanted to share my take on it. ALENDRONIC ACID - Really reluctant to start using this - should I have concerns?
I am 67 and After three and a half years of having my PMR supervised by my GPs, I finally asked to see a Rheumatologist. I seem to have been stuck in 2.5mg of Pred per day for about a year now - no big flare ups - feeling comfortable - and I thought a second opinion away from my local Surgery might

New member osteoporosis questions
I recently posted re Alendronic Acid and have received some helpful replies. So encouraged by that I am here with further questions. I was diagnosed around 3 years ago with "mild" osteoporosis. This followed a stress fracture to my ankle (had just taken up running). I declined medication and sorry to

Calcium supplements
About a week ago Mrs Nails put up a wonderfully clear and informative post ,about Alendronic Acid. (Mrs Nails, your work is so much appreciated.) I was very interested to note she says supplements of calcium and Vit D are to be taken AS WELL AS bisphosphonate, if you have osteoporosis, which I do ( lowest

New to Alendronic Acid!
Hi - I'm new here and looking forward to learning more. Took my first ever Alendronic Acid tablet yesterday (weekly 70mgs) . Diagnosed osteoporosis (mild) about 3 years ago but elected no treatment. Then broke a wrist at Christmas so treatment advised as necessary. Had very strong reaction to first pill

I've been circumsized 3 days ago and my penis is still healing. Is the inflamed thing on the back of the head of the penis normal?
Hello, I've just been circumsized for 3 days ago. And I just wanna ask if my penis is fine and healing properly. The only thing I'm worried about is about the swollen (and kinda inflated?) thing in the back of the head of my penis, I'm afraid it might be an infection. I'm consuming my medical treatments

A low omega-3 index is just as strong a predictor of early death as smoking
A new research paper published in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition last week showed that a low omega-3 Index is just as powerful in predicting early death as smoking. This landmark finding is rooted in data pulled and analyzed from the Framingham study, one of the longest running studies in

Cream (autophagy) fast
Fasting is good for you - and helps you lose weight, reverse insulin resistance, etc. But I do not need to lose weight - and autophagy is another benefit of fasting. (You re-cycle damaged cells, amino acids, viruses, and rubbish - and rebuild a new, younger self afterwards.) Dr Mindy says, to get into
