I had been on 100mcg of Synthroid, but was told that since Tirosint might be more potent because of cleaner formulation, my Rx was for 88mcg Tirosint-SOL. Daily, all of T4 and 10mcg T3 taken at 10PM (except not before labs), 10mcg T3 taken at 11AM (split before labs).

Hi all, Has anyone in the UK managed to get Tirosint on the NHS? My NHS endocrinologist and GP were prepared to continue prescribing it after my private endocrinologist put me on it, but it's not listed on my county's formulary, so their hands are now tied.

Having produced Tirosint and Tirosint SOL levothyroxine (under their various names - brands and re-branded), IBSA appear to see supplements as a money-spinner. I'm just putting this here for information - hopefully at some point we will find out more.

I would like to know if it has the same formula as Tirosint - with the same inactive ingredients and if it is cheaper than Tirosint and if it's available on prescription in the UK?

I have been on 112 Tirosint for 3 months. I am apathetic, irritable, sleeping a lot and have crazy muscle pains. Based on below labs, I convinced my doc to add in T3. She dropped Tirosint to 100 and said add 5mcg of liothyronine. Should I give it a couple weeks on just 100 before adding in t3?

I am moving to the UK and am currently finding the optimal dose for hypothyroid using Tirosint (t4) and Cytomel (t3). If available: Please message me, or post below any endocrinologist recommendations who would help prescribe these medications in the London Area? Thank you so much!

I am struggling to access lactose free Levothyroxine at my GP surgery’s pharmacy and have read that Tirosint has fewer excipients than most brands of T4 and wondered if anyone could advise me the best way forward for accessing this brand/or other similar brands? Many thanks.

I take 112 mcg tirosint in the AM. Only uploading the labs that have resulted, some are still pending! Tsh 1.32 range 0.40-4.50 Ft4 1.2 range 0.80-1.80 Ft3 3.1 range 2.3-4.2 Folate 12.6 range >5.4 Vitamin d 47 range 30-100 Vitamin b12 639 range 200-1100 Ferritin 35 range 16-154

hi everyone, so I’m on tirosint 100 T4 and 15 mg of T3 these are my blood results TSH. 0.03 FT4 1.4 FT3. 3.4 TPO. 1 I’m not good. Have all these symptoms from vertigo , panic attack pain. I’m so confused those anyone have any suggestions thank you. 🙏

I have hashi and hypo. 6 weeks ago I switched medications from 50mcg for 7 days Tirosint to 75mcg Tirosint for 5 days and 2 days 50 mcg.

The Greek pharmacist suggested Tirosint as it contains no additives but it’s 8 rather than 2 euros for a months supply. Has anybody used it and if so does it have any benefits ? Be really curious to know, thanks.

Currently taking Tirosint 75mcg. May 15,2024 TSH 3rd generation 1.710 (.4-4.5 uIU/ML) T3 Reverse. 16.5 (9.0-27.0mg/dl) T3 Free 2.40 (2.40-6.80 pg/ml) T3 Free 2.40 (.58-1.64ng/dl) I had been feeling terrible from having Covid about a year ago.

Thanks to this forum and all the wonderful people who have shared their stories and advice with me, I now feel pretty good at 88 mcg Tirosint and Gluten Free diet. But, on that journey I was struck with a Frozen Shoulder.

These are my results after 6 weeks on new regime Bloods taken 8am and 12 hours after last dose of T3 125 mcg Tirosint 2.5 mcg T3 I’m feeling much warmer and brain fog is better although I do feel a little angst and teary at times ? Energy is much better.

*Smelly Tirosint gelcaps* Has anyone else who uses Tirosint (filler free Levothyroxine alternative) gelcaps noticed a bad smell of these pills recently? I’ve started taking them in December 2023, could it be I’m only now noticing this smell, but it was there all along?

Hi, I posted earlier about Tirosint in Gel capsules possibly giving me a rash. I stopped taking them 4 weeks ago and the rash continues. Not as bad but still all down my legs and arms. My question. Can it take so long to leave the body? Or am I blaming the wrong thing for my rash?

Hi Everyone, I have been taking a different Tirosint from Germany for the last 6 months. In a gelatine coating. I have had a severe rash all over my body and didn’t think for one minute it was from this. Anyone else experience this? Also, where can I get an alternative in the UK ? Thanks 🙏

So to keep this short I’ve recently ( past 3 months ) changed from Armour Thyroid ( took for 5 years ) to Tirosint ( I’m lactose intolerant ) previous to that I was on T4 only for 22 years !

and other icky , lactose etc.. so she was switched to tirosint 88, i specifically asked if tirosint is pure should she maybe try a less dosage, they said no... ok.. so she started tirosint, and rash magicalky went away... yay.
