The Pineal Gland
Has anyone ever heard of the Pineal Gland(also known as 'the third eye')? It's located in the center of the brain and absorbs flouride (which is found in MOST toothpastes and roughly 70% of tap water). The flouride will calsify around this gland and cause confusion, uncertainty, etc. I've switched to

Update 4th Ozurdex implant
So 4 th implant done yesterday (Tuesday). New Dr again ( though I think I've seen him either at review or a lucentis inj). Friendly and efficient - good job as the nursing team didn't seem switched on that this was an ozurdex. No implant ready, no anaesthetic injection ready. Nurse disappeared to return

Serum iodine in the dumper
Hi, I just received the results of my iodine blood test, and it’s 24 out of a range of 52-109. I had my thyroid removed many years ago after Graves disease, and have never been able to keep my T3 levels above the bottom third of range, regardless of T4 and TSH. I keep reading that it’s not a good idea

Help with test results please.
I had RAI in July 2017 and I have been not feeling great on 100mcg of Levothyroxine even though GP/Endo say this is the right dose for me. The endo agreed to trial t3 for 6months to see if I felt better, unfortunately the GP refused and endo said she is no longer able to prescribe it by managers etc.

High iodine dietary intake is associated with type 2 diabetes among women of the E3N-EPIC cohort study
There has always been quite a lot of interest in and controversy about the idea of taking iodine in thyroid disorders. The opinions range from actively avoiding foods known to be among even the slightly higher range of iodine content (e.g. some fish and shellfish), through simply eating without making

Surgery or RAI
Hi. I’ve been told I have a lump on my lower right lobe of the thyroid which has been picked up in a RAU scan. I’m now booked for a ultrasound next week and need to decide on what I want to do : RA treatment or surgery but I’m unsure. What are the pros and cons? Possibility of cancer has been mentioned

Testosterone Therapy & Thyroid Function Issues
Would appreciate some advice on my latest bloods. For the past 6 months or so I’ve been on testosterone replacement therapy and been struggling to dial in a dose that works for me. All in all been feeling awful which I suspect is partly due to my thyroid struggling. I think I had a thyroid issue before

Occurrence and management of an aberrant free T4 in combination with a normal TSH
One of the more common questions we see is why Free T4 levels do not always correspond with TSH. Although in many ways this paper is not that important, it does provide a neat, simple check list of possible reasons for FT4 being higher or lower than would be predicted by TSH alone. The very fact that
