Body cuts & fibromyalgia
Unusual question but I cut my leg the other day in a silly accident which left a nasty abrasive wound etc.Have been treating daily with antiseptic cream etc. Has anyone else found wound healing taking much longer to heal. I am on morphine based pain patches. Would this make any difference to the body

Itching with blood thinners (Apixaban and Edoxapan)
Had to change from Apixaban to Edoxapan due to severe reaction of itching all over the body, it was really bad. The Edoxapan is much better, but still get the occasional real itches on back and legs . but they gave me E45 anti itch cream that REALLY works well and often stops after a few minutes after

Thrush 3 days before FET
Hi everyone, I am booked for a natural FET on Monday (I didn't take anything this cycle, not even progesterone) and the Friday before I discovered that my discharge looked like cottage cheese and I may be getting thrush. Which I haven't had in years! Has this happened to anyone else before their FET

Dermatitis
The other day there was a post about dermatitis. A number of people wrote about E45 cream. Well, of course, Amazon sells it and I ordered a tube. I have to say that it is far better than any cream my dermatologist prescribed. Thank you, thank you. I learn so much on a daily basis from this forum š

Hypersensitivity after ZSR Circumcision
Hi guys, my first post here.. I had phimosis, my foreskin was tight af and I wasn't able to stretch it even during flaccid. I went for Zsr circumcision since there was no other option to treat it. Operation took hardly 10 mins, it was slightly painful but it was bearable. Today is my 28th day

Actinic keratosis & Lung cancer
Hi, Dad is in 5th week of taking Erlotinib and corresponding face rash appears to be under control with prescribed cream / antibiotics. Also good to see that his cough has reduced in frequency by around 90% and no increase in fatigue. My question is- dad has actinic keratosis ( for around 25 years +

Advice on my non-existent TSH Please
I had radio iodine treatment 5 years ago after having Graves. I am on 75 and 100 Levothyroxine on alternate days (a low dose I know). I was given additional T3 med lythothyronine 18 months ago, 5 mg twice daily which improved my quality of life no end. My thyroid levels have been fairly steady over

Daily multivitamins do not help people live longer, major study finds
The taking of general multivitamins has long been questioned here on this forum. The article specifically identifies iron: Meanwhile iron, which is added to many multivitamins, can lead to iron overload and raise the risk of cardiovascular disease, diabetes and dementia. I think we'd also advocate

Use of iodine in CT and PET scans
I am aware of the danger of taking iodine supplements and their possible effect on the thyroid. Does it follow that investigations requiring intravenous iodine as in some CT and PET scans pose a risk to people with Hashimotos? My rheumatologist is suggesting I have some such investigations and it is

11yo latest results
Hello All, Here are my daughters latest results, Iām still battling with GP plus NHS consultants to get anywhere. She has only been off any B12/folate for 5 weeks (she does eat B12 fortified foods) but has been taking iron. Her medical history is low platelets but she obviously also has hashimotos.

Safe to Take Iodine?
Hi all, I've had thyroid tests which all came back as normal except I had what appears to be elevated FT4 levels, 3 endocrinologists have reassured me that I do not have hyperthyroidism. They emphasized the importance of considering all test results together. I'm underweight, struggling to gain weight

feels like relapse following CT scan with contrast
Hi everyone, I have Graves arising post a vaccination in 2022 and exacerbated when I had covid. I went into remission a year ago but have relapses when I have a vaccination. I had to have a heart CT scan and I asked about the iodine and risks. I was assured it was fine for me to have and it would flush
