Moving back to UK (On Peginterferon)
Hi all, I am currently on bi-weekly Pegasys Peginterferon injections here in HK. I am planning on moving back to the UK this summer. Does anyone know or have experience about how to go about continuing my injections through the NHS when I return?

How often do you and partner have sex, honestly? Help
Hi guys How often do you and partner have sex in a month ? How long have you been together? My partner seems to hound me permanently, makes me feel guilty and he’s moody until he gets it. He doesn’t actually even try to initiate it but will openly huff and puff in bed, tap his fingers and feet to

Pain injecting Pegasys
I have been injecting Pegasys for six months and it's always been painless. But today, although I didn't do anything differently, it was painful when I inserted the needle and emptied the syringe and remained painful for about a minute afterwards. It bled a little, but occasionally it does anyway. Could

Scalp allodynia. How does it feel like?
Hello everyone, The reason I am asking this is that my specialist has diagnosed me with scalp allodynia but I am still not convinced this is it. I read that allodynia is a sensitivity of the skin when touched. In my case, it is a stinging/burning/itching pain all the time, no touching involved. It actually

Re : Temporal Artery Biopsy question
Thank you for all your kind thoughts and advice. I went to see my eye doctor this afternoon and he confirmed a cataract in my right eye which will need surgery . Probably caused by Prednisone? Or just age related falling apart ! So relieved It’s not GCA. He said that the prednisone had helped avoid

Pegasys Injection Sites?
Hello, My mom got diagnosed with ET a few months back and just got started on Pegasys. She had her first injection today by the nurse in her upper arm. I understand that is a legitimate subcutaneous injection site, but from reading the posts here, it sounds like the most common site is the stomach.

2 years ago I was finally diagnosed with GCA/PMR after 6 weeks in hospital and every test you can think of . It’s been a rollercoaster of a journey. Started on 60mg and now down to 5.5mg. I have double vision which is being monitored by the eye hospital. Also developed heart problems also monitored

Any dry mouth success stories?
Currently waiting for my new dose to kick in as I've been under-medicated for awhile. The symptom that worries me most is dry mouth. It affects speech, singing, eating, and—no one ever mentions this, but it's an obvious one—my sex life. So basically all of the good things. Very distressing. I'm finding

A possible help with Nystagmus
NYSTAGMUS Nystagmus most commonly causes the eyes to move involuntarily from side to side in a rapid, swinging motion. It can also cause the eyes to jerk sideways or up and down. Nystagmus is usually acquired during early infancy but can also develop later in life. The condition can improve slightly

Freaking out a bit - sorry if this is a bit off-topic!
Hi all I’m after some advice on how to find the best local, private endocrinologist. We’re in South Yorkshire so can get to Leeds/Sheffield type radius pretty easily. My question isn’t for me but for my wife (she’s only 42). We found out today she has hypertensive retinopathy (grade 2) but until today

Stem Cell Human Trials for Macular Degeneration
We aren't there yet with Parkinson's Disease, but I still remain excited about the possibility of turning back time with stem cells. Even if the disease continues to progress, we may be able to refill our tanks with dopaminergic neurons. "Researchers at the National Eye Institute (NEI) are launching
