My tsh is0.01. Range 0.35-4.94

Free t4 is1.8 Range 0.7-1.5

Free t3 is 5.4 range is 2.2-4.0

She switched me to tirosint 150 and 4 t3

Any advice would be helpful

Would it help to cut down on the t3

I just got the prescription of tirosint filled

I’ve been taking this combination about 6 weeks

Both FT4 and FT3 are over range which suggests overmedication.

If you reduce dose of Tirosint then depending on how much natural conversion you have both FT4 and FT3 should lower.

Reducing just T3 may just reduce your FT3.

However, a couple of things to take into consideration :

1) When did you take your last doses of Tirosint and T3? Last dose of Tirosint should have been 24 hours before blood draw, and last dose of T3 should have been 8-12 hours before blood draw. Any closer to the blood draw and you will have false high results.

2) When Hashi's is present there will often be fluctuations in results.

It was about 8 hours for t3 and about 23 hours for the tirosint

So you don't have false high results then.

Not sure how you can cut down on T3 if you only take 4mcg or is that a typo?

Sorry it was 4 tablets of 5mg so I take 20

SeasideSusieRemembering in reply to Evie7851

OK so if you reduce T3 then it should be by 5mcg only. However, that wont reduce your FT4. If those were my results I think I would reduce the Tirosint, retest after 6-8 weeks and see what difference that makes to your FT4 and FT3 levels then reassess.

But do remember that fluctuations happen with Hashi's and you can go over range then low again.

So reduce the tirosint to 125 and t3 by 5 or just reduce the tirosint to 125

Just the Tirosint then retest and reassess after 6-8 weeks. We shouldn't change both at the same time.

How do you feel? We are all so individual that yes on paper you look slightly over medicated but do you feel it?

If you do decide you need to cut back because of symptoms then yes I’d cut back on the T3 first. Do it slowly though till you find your sweet spot. HTH 🤗

My legs feel heavy and I’m more fatigued also I’ve been cold

Hmmmm that’s good for thought. Those are my hypo symptoms 🧐 my hyper symptoms are more like feeling anxious and unable to switch off but really tired because I can’t switch off. But I also felt the not switching off or unable to sleep when hypo but really slow and unable to function but hyper I’m running at 100 miles an hour and unable to stop moving but dying to stop moving.

Have you more history you could give. Results and symptoms?

Your results show that you are over medicated as both ft4 & ft3 are over range. This is not recommended as if this occurs for a long period of time it may lead to heart irrregularities. You do describe symptoms of over medication such as sweating & a high heart rate at rest. You only need to reduce a little. If it were me I would reduce the T3 a liittle. You could half one of the t3 tablets if a whole tablet drop is too much.

By the way feeling tired is a symptom of over as well as under medication....

I will reduce the t3 to 15 mg instead of 20 and see how that goes

So yes Addisons complicate things a little and it’s good you know what your blood pressure reading history is.

What was your previous dose of thyroid meds? You say ‘switched’? From what to what? Do you mean she increased both at the same time?

I was on 150 of np thyroid then thyrogold 300 she switched me to tirosint and t3 because I have a lot of allergies The thyrogold wasn’t enough and the np thyroid was tasting terrible

I have felt like that when hyper, can't stop moving all day. Since I started T3 it has given me some mental calmness. Thanks for sharing that. I'm still slightly hyper FT3 5.0 (top range 4.0), but feeling so much better mentally.

I'm taking NP Thyroid 45 and 30 every other day, and T3 (Liothyronine) 15 daily. New labs in four weeks.

I know a low tsh usually means hyperthyroidsm. I suggest looking up a pharmacist by the name of Isabella Wentz, she has lots of info on thyroid conditions

I just started taking tirosint 2 mo. ago and I was overmedicated on 137 mcg. And 10 mcg of cytomel. I think tirosint is stronger then other thyroid medications due to not having fillers.

I was shaking and heart palpitations so, I lowered it to 125 and cytomel to 5.

Still felt overmedicated and lowered it to 112. Now after lab work, my levels dropped a little too much so going back to 125.

It's a struggle but, I think this medication might be better for me then synthroid and such.

Good luck!

I don’t have thyroid and I am on 137 tyrosint and I am fine, so this dose without seeing your results seems too high, especially given how much more absorbable is Tyrosint compared to other thyroid brands. I would definitely reduce it and see how you feel.

Thank you everyone I agree I think tirosint will be better for me I just have to find the right dose I appreciate all your help because my doctor hasn’t gotten back to me yet which is frustrating so all I can do is drop the t3 until she writes another prescription

Strength and Sympathy Evie7851. You are in a hyper state . I wouldn't feel well with these results either. I would reduce the T4 and the T3 . Tirosint is very potent since it's without any fillers . So you need less of it . Either 112-125 or an in-between dose . I would lower the T3 to 5mcg split dose . AM 2.5mcg and afternoon 2.5mcg . Hold it for 6 weeks and see how you feel and if your symptoms resolved . Journal your symptoms . Take your BP /Pulse/energy/insomnia/mind working well/sweating stopped/constipation/aches/pain etc. These are very good points to check . These are *Cellular Results*. Run labs after 6 weeks too . Give your body time to acclimate to new changes.

Nutrients are very important too . Vitamin "D"/K2 , B-Complex, B-12/folate, Magnesium, Vitamin "C" , Iron (if you test low) Mineral Complex .

Best Wishes For Sorting It Out .
