How to Change to NDT
Any advice as to the best way to transition from 119 mcg Levo to NDT, in a gentle way. I have no thyroid. For example do I stop the Levo one day and start NDT the next, and if so what dose, or do a reduced dose of both for a few days/weeks until acclimatised? How much NDT should I take, both at the

Anyone else had trouble introducing synthetic T3 & found another form that their body tolerated?
I need T3, I have had a trial of Thybon and it caused very distressing side effects that I simply could not tolerate. I have been working on adrenals eating well, supplementing etc. I even tried to add another 25 T4 to my 50mg and it was not good! Is there hope that another form could suit me? Looking

S.hould I be concerned about my renal panel?
My pcp sent me to a nephrologist based on blood work in January. The nephrologist did blood and urine testing and said that my phosphorus was high but my problematic test results were due to dehydration. This sounded reasonable to me so she advised me to eat a low phosphorus diet and hydrate often

Does anyone know how I can get Abdi Ibrahim levtiron in the UK?
Hi there Does anyone know how I can get thyroxine from the Turkish company Abdi Ibrahim in the UK? I get prescribed thyroxine 50mcg on NHS but UK brands do not work for me. The only 2 brands I have come across that work for me are this brand from Turkey and Merck Euthyrox from Germany. Both of which

Positive pregnancy test after miscarriage?
Morning all the lovely ladies, I did my test on Friday and repeated today, they both are positive after the miscarriage 4 weeks ago and second part of miscarriage 2 weeks ago, as I had tissues left and clinic advised to wait for 2 weeks to see if they leave my body naturally. Hope this makes sense..

Anyone had an iron infusion
My husband has CLL and has a problem with low B12 and folate. His ferritin is also stubbornly low for which he’s been recommended an iron infusion for deficiency anaemia and injections for his B12 deficiency I’m ok about the B12 injections but for some reason feel a bit nervous about the infusion but

90% good news
Ralph doing well and happy with progress. Last Tuesday SALT said leave cuff down for 24 hours from Thursday to Friday morning, and if that went well, leave it down all weekend unless he was in distress. Then the plan was to put in a fenestrated cuffless trachy this Wednesday coming. Best laid plans etc

update on T3 in Crete
spoke to a few pharmacists on the island yesterday who say it’s impossible to find T3 in Crete. Said it’s been unavailable even for the locals, also passed comment that it’s in short supply in Europe.

Is it over?
I tested using Boots Pregnancy Test Strips on day 10 after 5 day blastocyst transfer using midday urine sample. It was negative. Most likely it won’t turn positive. 😔

TSH non existent after Thyroidectomy
Help …. I was diagnosed with Graves and hyperthyroidism in Jan 22, having my levels go up and down like a yo-yo the endocrinologist suggested having a thyroidectomy. Which I had in Sept 23, after the op I was prescribed 150mcg of levothyroxine, and after 6 weeks a post op blood test, I hadn’t realised

11yo latest results
Hello All, Here are my daughters latest results, I’m still battling with GP plus NHS consultants to get anywhere. She has only been off any B12/folate for 5 weeks (she does eat B12 fortified foods) but has been taking iron. Her medical history is low platelets but she obviously also has hashimotos.

switch from compound to Thybon Henning
Morning all, I’m currently on compound t3 IR as I needed to sort adrenals and increase very slowly. I’m still not optimal but when I am, I’d like to switch to Thybon Henning due to costs. Is it as simple as swapping 10mcg compounded for 10mcg Thybon Hemming (1/2 a 20mcg tablet)? Would appreciate

Opinion on my B12 and folate tests, and what are ideal levels?
I got the results back for my b12 and folate a few days ago. My folate is low, so I have changed my diet to get my folate up that way. I can't tolerate any supplement form even in small doses (folate, folinic, folic acid etc). What about my active b12 - Monitor My Health says it is fine, is that right
