How long have you been taking Liothyronine Lalande? Are you on mono therapy or combination? Can you share your most recent thyblood test results.

I personally experienced palpitations when my FT4 was very high in the range. It could be that you need to adjust your dosage, but we need to see your results to better advise.

Just to help us a little more, do you have a copy of your latest blood results that you can share with us? You are legally entitled to a printed copy of your results, ask at GP reception. In England you can get the NHS app and ask for permission to see your blood results on that by asking at GP’s reception.

What supplements are you taking?

What are your latest vitamin results for ferritin, folate, B12 & D3?

AFib can be undermedication as much as over medication.

Did you do your test as per the protocol recommended here? Recommended blood test protocol: Test at 9am (or as close as possible), fasting, last levo dose 24hrs before the blood draw, last T3 dose 8-12 hours before blood draw & no biotin containing supplements for 3-7 days (Biotin can interfere with thyroid blood results as it is used in the testing process).

Testing like this gives consistency in your results and will show stable blood levels of hormone and highest TSH which varies throughout the day. Taking Levo/T3 just prior to blood draw can show a falsely elevated result and your GP/Endo might change your dose incorrectly as a result.

Yes I take T3 only and HRT. I started getting atrial fibrillation after partner died last year. I have had a few occurrences since, usually after some emotional upset, but I have also managed to cause myself I think twice ( too much magnesium onceand holding off HRT for blood tests once).

I am fairly convinced it is to do with my hormones not being right as cardiologist said no structural issues. So I am trying to adjust hormones at the moment and see if it helps ( working on cortisol as blood cortisol low, saliva off scale high, along with low DHEA). My testosterone was a bit high too which might affect cortisol binding so I have stopped that temporarily.
