Prolapsed Mitral Heart Valve
Just read up on it and find its linked to Hashimotos
Thyroiditis
, which I was diagnosed with 21 years ago. I take Sotolol betablockers every day, but I thought they were for anxiety. Going to see NhS endo again, Thurs and wanted to be prepared.

Help with blood results please
As I said above my results from blue horizons indicate autoimmune
thyroiditis
- could this be what is making me feel so ill as my TSH is only borderline?

Should we get our daughters tested?
Reading up on postpartum
thyroiditis
, the effects of which are currently being movingly described by Ameliasmummy, I see that having thyroid antibodies at low levels before pregnancy increases a woman's chances of developing this.

Thinking of going with NDT
I want to try NDT, as so many of you have good results with it , will it be of benefit to me I have Auto-immune
thyroiditis
. Considering it has t3 in it and that did nothing previously. Your opinions will help , thank you x

Sub clinical
From what i am told he does not not have auto immune
thyroiditis
..this is what his docotor has told him but im not sure what tests have been done. His latest bloods are TSH 10.5 and 13 t4. I am suprised he has not got an auto immune throid problem as he has diabetes 1.

What to do next?
I have a longstanding history of Hashimoto's
thyroiditis
and have been on thyroxine for about 20 yrs. I am a 53 yr old male. In spring 2014 I took ill with exhaustion breathlessness depression etc. needed to spend much of the day in bed. Terrible clouded thinking. Not coping in work.

Thyroiditis, no symptoms
I've had
thyroiditis
for the last seven months, seen my GP, blood test normal, scan showed slightly enlarged thyroid and I have a feeling of slight strangulation all the time which isn't very comfortable. Eventually got referred to endocrinologist (after being "lost in the system"!)

The good news is....
Is autoimmune
thyroiditis
(Hashimoto's) only autoimmune
thyroiditis
in the presence of a goitre or nodules along with elevated anti-TPO's? How does one get this officially diagnosed without a goitre?
