Hello, I’ve recently had a full thyroid function test bloods through Medichecks as I’m seeing a private endocrinologist soon, I’m going to show him my scan photos as I have more larger nodules appeared last year & the NHS have discharged me without testing further. I have felt unwell for years, extremely self conscious/embarrassed of my nodules. I sometimes feel like I’m being choked & dint want this getting worse. I have to work FT which exhausts me. My ferritin has increased from 13 to 41 in 5 months, so that’s something I guess?

Can anyone tell me if my bloods look okay? Thanks in advance for any help.

Previous post you said

I am already working hard on upping my awful ferritin levels & adding vitamins.

How low were vitamin levels at last test

Aim to get vitamin D to at least over 80nmol and 100-125nmol might be better

How much vitamin D are you taking

Are you also taking separate magnesium in evening

Ferritin needs more work up to at least 70

what iron supplements are you taking

retest 3-4 times a year if self supplementing.

It’s possible to have low ferritin but high iron

Test early morning, only water to drink between waking and test. Avoid high iron rich dinner night before test

If taking any iron supplements stop 3-5 days before testing

Medichecks iron panel test
