Will my results be affected by a cold?

Good morning,I have been unwell for several days now with a viral infection. I did a thyroid function test this morning as I feel slightly better, no fever anymore but still some mild cold symptoms remaining.

I have stopped my vitamins since Friday as had originally hoped to take the test Monday morning, obviously postponed the test when feeling at my worst with fever and symptoms but didn't want to delay any more.

Are TSH, free T3 and free T4 likely to be affected at all?

Thanks you.

CRP might be high…test for inflammation

this can increase ferritin levels

That shouldn't be a problem, it was more the thyroid tests but hopefully they will be an accurate result. I was planning to adjust my levo dose if necessary according to these latest results but then of course will re test in 6-8 weeks.

Could be the infection has down-graded conversion of T4 to T3 a little. But nothing drastic. :)

Sounds promising, it will be interesting to find out my results in a couple of days.
