Strep A and thyroid
Could strep A cause problems with thyroid? I had massive problems with throat in the spring and was dismissed by GP, but because I couldn’t get rid of it for 2 months she eventually did a swab which came back positive for strep A. Has anyone had a similar experience?

Vertigo or dizziness?
Just reducing from 6.5mg Pred to 6mg. All seems well but yesterday evening, as I was sitting and reading a book, I started to feel 'out of it' so to speak. A bit dizzy and as though I needed to take a large breath as I had forgotten to breathe. This morning I felt dizzy when I got up in that I wanted

thank you
thank you everyone for all the help you gave me recently, my husband is improving but will never be better like before, but any improvement is better than how he was. I too am feeling a little better, I did go to the hospital in the end, it seems I keep getting partial bowel obstruction and it eventually

side /back and stomach pain
Edit! Ok so I didn’t pick up the antibiotics Friday as it was 50% improved . It’s still not completely gone though. Maybe not even that!? If you were to stand with your hand on your left hip /waist with thumb at back ( you know !)that gap under rib hard to explain , that’s where it is and that part

thyroid lumps on chest
hello, HNY! I’ve posted before about thyroid goiter and large nodules. Gp and hospital in UK said everything is fine the lumps are benign and don’t worry. Thyroid function normal. Apart from antibodies in the 400s. I’m visiting in-laws in Turkey and have a bad chest infection (not Covid) Non smoker

Is it the New shape of Aerobika mouthpiece causing my mouth ulcers?
Just wondering if any of my fellow chest clearance buddies are experiencing recurrent mouth ulcers ? . Think mine is due to the different shape of Aerobika mouthpiece.? My newest device comes with a sort of ‘lip’ to the edge of it …Grasping at straws here to get a reason.. Mouth ulcers are so sore!

IBS meds not working....
Hello, I have been struggling with an IBS flare for 3 months, I'm taking Alverine and Peppermint capsules. My GP has checked for celiac disease which thankfully was normal, had my poo checked twice, bloods are fine except for inflammation markers slightly raised, checked my thyroid but it's fine as

Hip pain
Been diagnosed with IBS but from reading other posts I realise I am getting off lightly with symptoms. Possibly microscopic colitis. I just want to know if anyone else gets a lot of pain in area of right hip? Could this be IBS or just OA? Thanks

New member
New member here. Looking to commiserate with other IBS sufferers about how they are dealing with symptoms. I’ve been told that a lot of this (bloating, constipation) is brought on by stress. But then you start “doomscrolling” to better understand your symptoms and you see all kinds of stories of people

Turmeric
I have been amazed at the effect taking turmeric has had on the amount of pain I experience in my hands and how quickly this has happened. (Yes, I know about the placebo effect!) I would recommend anyone to try it (providing they check with their haems/doctors first). I take 2 capsules of turmeric extract

Struggling to bring down blood sugars
Hi Friends, As some of you know I've been on a journey and taking T3 was the real game changer. I am under the care of a fantastic private Endo. I've included my thyroid and sugar results in this post. My insulin is elevated indicating insulin resistance. All tests are done fasting and no meds

Apixaban side effects/adverse reactions
Many months ago, I tried Rivaroxaban but found it affects my ability to focus my eyes. Switched to Apixaban and that has seemed OK. However, two things have happened. I had a neurological assessment which found almost zero reflexes in my arms. And my feet have become very dry and are starting to become

Roflumilast/Daxas
Dear all, I just wanted to let all of you with severe COPD that I was given the opportunity last year, March 2022 to start this medication, Roflimilast. I had to request the outpatient appointment to be able to bring the possibility of being prescribed it. HealthUnlocked It wasn’t even mentioned to me
