Anaemia
I have graves disease but GP only tests TSH levels and T3. When I saw GP due to rapid heartbeat, breathlessness and muscle weakness he did full blood test and said I was anaemic. I take 5mg of carbimazole- could this medication cause anaemia? Is this common in graves? I used to have thyroid blood tests

Hypothyroidism and pregnant
I stopped levothyroxine because I was having terrible insomnia and restlessnees, head aces and feeling exhausted during the day, I then started on armour thyroid but it hasn't helped my blood levels. My thyroid is still low. And it's been low most of my pregnancy because I've been on armour a while,

advice please
hi everyone . Here’s my story so far .. haven’t been ‘right’ since May 2021 . First symptoms were hair loss and tiredness. I contacted the GP who did my bloods and said my thyroid was slightly low and wanted to recheck in 8 weeks T4 = 10.4 and TSH 0-8 So they rechecked in july 22 and said again

Sudden change to low thyroid levels without dose change - confused!
Hello, my husband has been on T4/T3 combo for about a year and although he’s probably not completely optimised, he had some good weeks and some bad weeks. Sadly though, he has had some consistently bad weeks lately and currently feels incredibly depressed (I am very worried). He checked his thyroid levels

Thyroid Hormones and Cancer Video
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pcFRyPr2-Hw This is a very techinical video but fascinating. I would just go with the flow and not worry about all the scientific detail. Paul Davis is a remarkable doctor. Here is some information which may help: - Thyroid hormone (T3) acts on thyroid hormone receptors

Endo is recommending radioactive iodine
At my last endocrinology appointment, it was strongly suggested I have radioactive iodine therapy. I'm not terribly keen, for reasons that many of you here have pointed out. I still don't know for sure that I have Graves'. The endo didn't think it mattered if it was Graves' or not, she would still recommend

I am a 40 year old mum of two children under 10 and first noticed that something was wrong early last year when I started

Total thyroidectomy
I had a TT in Aug 21 for hashimotos which went to Graves’ disease and large multi modular goitre. Since surgery I was on 150mcg thyroxine which was reduced after 6 weeks to 125mcg and have been on that dose since . My last bloods showed that I was now possibly being over medicated but Gp said they would

Under Active Thyroid since 2006
Hi All I was diagnosed back in 2006 with Underactive thyroid. I was put on Thyroxine but it never really agreed with me so weaned myself off of it in 2013 after a complete diet and lifestyle overhaul. I pretty much felt ok until September 2020 when I was completely exhausted and blood results showed
