I went for a thyroid ultrasound scan this morning. I explained to the doctor what I've been through the last few months, that I have TPO antibodies, thyroid hormones fluctuating etc. finally I found someone who knew what Hashimotos is! But, he's not an endocrinologist so I'm guessing he can't diagnose me with that.
Anyway he said my thyroid is 'ok' by the looks of it, mentioned blood flow was a little high and a cyst(?!) but was very 'meh' about it so I assume it's nothing to be concerned about right now. He did say because of the blood results I've been getting it is possible things will get worse and i should push the GP for an endo referral if things do get worse, otherwise he wasn't very concerned.
Obviously I googled as soon as I got home and the word 'cyst' has alarmed me.
Anyway.....I'm not sure what to expect from this, just dumping my thoughts really! Not really sure what to do next. Wait for the next blood test I guess?
Fyi I'm not on any thyroid medication.

Thank you, I took your advice and started on the BetterYou vitamin D spray, also got hold of the Thorne b12 complex and I'm on iron tablets, all these have helped with the symptoms although I still have days where the afternoon crash hits and I just want to sleep!
I've not been tested for coeliac disease, I'll look into that as I do have unexplained vitamin deficiencies and have been losing weight without trying.
The GP wants me to repeat my bloods in about 4 weeks. I did another thyroid blood test 2 weeks ago (MMH) which once again showed my tsh levels are high. But try telling that to my GP 🙄
Annoyingly the 2 times I've had bloods done at the GP surgery my levels have been just under their range so they aren't concerned. It's really frustrating.
