Can X-Rays pick up Thyroid abnormalities
Hi, I had a neck X-Ray last week for other reasons, and am just wondering whether they can incidentally pick up anything regarding the thyroid?

Advice before speaking to GP
Hi Everyone I am asking for advice before I speak to my GP. All advice gratefully received. I know when I posted my last results on here people said my high cholesterol was possibly due to my Thyroid levels. My TSH was 2.5 (range 0.27-4.2) which people here said was too high as I’m on Levothyroxine

TSH slowly creeping back up.
I’ve been here before (the forum) but lost all my logon details so I’ve re-registered. I’m hitting the usual brick wall with my GP, so I’ll try once more before I do something I’m unhappy about, but I’m getting desperate. Briefly, my TSH is slowly increasing. By which I mean that my most recent results

Update to "Graves/hyperthyroid - not severe but wish me luck!"
Firstly not quite sure how threads work in this forum, seems that adding a reply to a thread doesn't bump it, so have started new thread, apologies if this is not the way to do it. I just wanted to respond to previous comments. Several members cautioned me that since my hormone levels were not very

ERFA vs Thyroid S
Hi Folks.Would people say that ERFA has higher percentages of T4 and T3 than in Thyroid S generally? I am presuming it's purer as there are less binders, fillers and chemicals in the ERFA. If anyone has switched from Thyroid S to ERFA, any advice on dosing levels (eg. had to increase or decrease, symptoms

Guys, can someone DM me where do you get thyroid-s from please. I used to take NP thyoid but the prices are on crack right now! Ridiculous! Need to get supply but don’t want to send money to any dodgy shops. Thanks.

Covid booster and thyroid blood test
I am due to get my annual thyroid blood test in October. Have just realised that I get my autumn Covid booster the day before. Is it likely to have any effect on the test results?

Hypothyroidism & ADHD /meds
Hello, community! I’ve suffered from hypothyroidism (underactive thyroid) since childhood, and after many years of poor response to Levothyroxine, successfully moved onto treatment with Natural Desiccated Thyroid almost ten years ago now. Switching to NDT was life-changing, and has really improved

His thyroid results are good but in January his thyroglobulin antibodies crept up. He repeated it in March and the results were: Thyroglobulin antibodies- 116 (0-115) TSH 1.89 (0.27

Thyroid atrophy????
Hello, Thanks to those who have given me guidance previously. is anyone able to tell me the size a thyroid usually is in a woman? I’ve read each lobe should be around 4cms. I recently had a scan privately and my lobes measure 8x7 and 8x5mm respectively. To me this is extremely small and it appears

So very grateful for Thyroid UK
I just have to express my gratitude to this forum and the admins who give of their time to help us who are or have been floundering with NHS input (or lack of input+even dismissiveness of our thyroid journey) with regard to our thyroid and other connected issues. My son will be 48 this year and that’

Sorted with natural thyroid medication ..but!! 🫡
Hi everyone ❤️ I posted a few days ago about my private prescription for ndt , [hope I'm allowed to post that bit]🙈 , I am at the moment waiting on the delivery of said medication and hoping it works for me. In the meantime I have received the endocrinologists report and have now received a gp appointment

How to prepare for my thyroid test?
Hi all, I’m on the following routine and wondered what I should do with my thyroid medication the day before the test: First dose: 3am - 125mcg Levo, 5mcg - T3 Second dose: 11am - 2.5mcg T3 I will do the test around 8am ensuring I’ve only had water. So should I NOT take the 11am T3 dose the day

Original blood results
Good morning, I finally have the blood results that caused the doc to refer me to endocrinology and prescribe Carbimazole and Propranolol. There is a lot on this form. Please can you tell me what is relevant to diagnose thyroid issues and possibly Graves disease? I am happy to share any results but
