HRT after Thyroid Cancer
Hi everyone this is my first post. I had papillary thyroid cancer 12 years ago when I was 26. Radical neck dissection full thyroidectomy dozen lymph nodes removed. I've been on a rollercoaster with thyroxine for all that time struggling to feel well. Just got a new diagnosis of significant endometriosis

Went back to GP again today after previous visit about clubbed fingers and breathing trouble. Booked an urgent blood test and need to provide samples then I will get a scan to check for cancer. I don't know how I feel about this tbh, wanted him to tell me it was all in my head and for that to be true

Hello All, I have been diagnosed by my GP as being hypothyroid, possibly autoimmune. I'm reluctant to go on pharma drugs, as I prefer to go down the natural route using iodine and supplements. Has anyone else on here done that? I'm currently reading 'The Iodine Crisis' by Lynne Farrow. 'Overcoming

Migraine with an aura/silent migraine - Thyroid related? Ted?
I've now had 2 silent migraines.. One before I was diagnosed hyper/graves 2 years ago. The only symptom is disturbed vision, like I'm looking through a child's kaleidoscope.. No pain, but a weird sensation behind my eye. Even if I close my eyes, I can still see the sparkly colours. 10 minutes later it

Armour Thyroid
I was taking Armour Thyroid from 2003 to 2016 when I was told I could no longer have it and was given Liothyronine but a much lower dose 5mcg x twice a day as opposed to 3 grains of Armour x once a day. Since then I have gained weight again, I sweat profusely, and falling asleep all the time.

peroxidase antibodies far too high at 125 klU/L (should be under 34) - Thyroglobulin antibodies too high at 176 kU/L (should be under 115) - Vitamin D too low at 35.3 nmol/L (should be 75 to 120) The ferritin and vitamin D results are strange, because I take an A-Z multivitamin&mineral

due an ultrasound
my thyroid blood tests came back normal, however over the last 18months I have lost 20% of my body weight (was a size10) and have flaking. brittle nails and brittle hair plus fatigue. I have recently notice a lump on my throat and went to GP who said it was moving with my thyroid and booked me for urgent

Low FT4, normal TSH
Hello I had a private blood test done, which showed that TSH and T3 were okay, but T4 is low. I also have Thyroid Antibodies. I am taking Thyroid S. Will increasing the dose help? My vitamin levels were in range. Thanks for any info. It is so stressful trying to deal with an underactive Thyroid

suppressed tsh
I’ve recently changed doctors. Been feeling dreadful on Erfa and gained 2 stone in 8 months. My previous endo would not increase dose despite low t3 and t4 as my tsh was optimal My new doctor says I need the increase and has said my thyroid probably doesn’t work anyway after 17 years and I need

T4/T3 Greece
Just got back from Greece and you cannot buy Dithyron over the count anymore. I went to numerous pharmacies and got the same answer it’s now discontinued and they have nothing like it. It seems to be a very recent occurrence. I’m wondering if I pay to see a private doctor there I could get armour

New member, looking for alternatives to Thyroid-S
Dear all, I am new to this forum but not to thyroid disease. I was diagnosed with autoimmune hypothyroidism in 1999, at age 29, and put on levothyroxine. I struggled on it for years, tried different brands, but never felt optimal. I needed 200 micrograms a day just to feel human, while doctors kept

Does anyone know if radio therapy (breast) if you’re already on thyroxine might affect levels/ blood tests at all? I had radio this week but a test coming up in 6weeks to check levels following a thyroxine increase while on tamoxifen. I know it can induce, this is is yourre already on a stable dose

Help with Graves symptoms
This is my second bout dealing with Graves’ symptoms . Initially I was trying to handle this with as much grace as possible but everything is coming at me fast. Initially I was getting some sleep but now it’s insomnia. I thought I had the ability to calm my anxiety with the tools I’ve learned in therapy
