Endo appointment, need NDT
I'm just waiting on an endo appointment (T4, T3 have not worked for me, nearly 4 years of chopping and changing meds by gp/endo). Because of gut/stomach issues (malabsorbtion) diarrhoea, cramps, inflammation) I spoke to a parathyroid /thyroid surgeon on Wednesday (with her for primary hyperparathyroidism

Verapamil and effects on thyroid
I have been wondering if my long term use of heart drug Verapamil has had any affect on my thyroid. I have been on Thyroxine for 22 years and Verapamil for about 18 years. I stumble across the following article and wondered if anyone can make head or tail of it. It says at the end it was safe for the

very long story…. Need support.
Since a young age, I have had hyperthyroidism. I was treated with carbimazole for years and in 2021 I had radioactive therapy (a radioactive table) for my thyroid. This ended up killing it and now I am on level thyroxine. When I first got diagnosed with hypothyroidism, I believe my TSH was 60-ISH. Since

Is this a Graves diagnosis?
Hi there, just had my TSI results back (see photos). This is part of my new overactive thyroid diagnosis last week. I’m stumped as not having huge amounts of symptoms but hey ho. I’ll add my other results too for the full picture. But is this now confirming a Graves diagnosis? I did lose half a stone

GP appointment update
I posted a few days ago and sadly had no replies! But anyway I had my GP appointment this morning. Explained everything that's been going on, showed her my test results, and her answer to that was i will probably develop an OVERactive thyroid eventually 🤦🏻♀️ How she came to that conclusion I do

Weird heat rush all over body?
Sorry for the weird question and if it seems a little out of place. I am going to get my TS levels tested on Monday to see if I have any sort of thyroid problem and I wanted to ask if anyone had these feelings that I have been having and if it may have to do with the thyroid? I have been suspecting

Help with test results
I am feeling a bit better, not so spaced out, no depression or dizziness. I stopped HRT in July. However, I do still get tired, have weight problems, have a swollen scalloped tongue, high cholesterol, goitre, tinnitus, joint stiffness. I am on 100mg Levothyroxine. I take B complex, B1, selenium

Amiodarone treatment: Could this medication be affecting T4 to T3 conversion?
Hi all this is my second post concerning the effects of Amiodarone on the thyroid. I don't have a thyroid but this medication also effects T4 T3 conversion. In my previous post some well informed and knowledgeable people suggested that I keep a close eye on my thyroid levels along with being vigilant

Thyroid hormone and cortisol!
According to Paul Robinson in his book recovering with T3, he states that thyroid hormone and cortisol need to be considered together. Then he states that thyroid replacement can worsen cortisol insufficiency. It's on page 316. Then he States higher cortisol/effects reduce TSH and T4 to T3 conversion
