Do midwives actually exist?
I’m now 12 weeks and a few days! It’s my first pregnancy. I’m 46 and it’s Double donor. I’ve just had my first NHS scan (all seems well but I have to go back next week as they couldn’t see the stomach as my little one decided after an initial. Burst of energy, to have a nap and curl up) but the letter

Q re Levo not "topping up" natural thyroid hormones and side effects of overmedication
I've been prescribed levo recently and am currently struggling to work out what does works for me and doesn't send me into a jittery, irritable mess. I can't remember blood test results exactly but something like 6.8 TSH and low T3. All my other bloods were fine. I've been on a super healthy diet and

Failed transfers
Hello, I’ve had x3 ivf failed transfers ttc a sibling, x2 bfn and x1 chemical. Eggs were collected when I was 35 Apparently these have all been “top” embryos which actually makes me feel worse! I have x1 “nice” embryo left in freezer but been advised to have hysteroscopy before transferring. Someone

PGTA - how many transfers did it take for an ongoing pregnancy??
Hi ladies, it’s been an incredibly long and traumatic journey (with a late loss of a healthy baby) so we decided to do IVF with PGTA. Over three cycles, we managed to get some embryos through testing and I don’t think I plan to do a fourth cycle. I know there are some people on here who’ve had the

Reopen another IVF chapter
Has anyone else felt like they wanted to have more children after finishing a cycle? I’ve done 3 transfers and have two kids. I’m very grateful however, I still want to grow my family. I just celebrated my 35th birthday yesterday. I am contemplating about starting my journey over in 6-9 months.

Infertility grief
I know I'm lucky. IVF worked for us and we have two amazing boys. But I can't shake the feeling of being robbed of some feelings...Does anybody else have a little cry after sex? Because yes, sex is fun, but we will never get pregnant like that? No suprise pregnancy, no 'lets try for a baby' stage...

Sensitive: *update* Am I one of those miracle stories or is this more heartache and help please...
*Sensitive update: hcg went from 80 to 430 in 4 days and progesterone is still high even though I'm on only one utrogestan a day, so I am feeling hugely relieved as none of my losses got that far or went up like that. Btw I've done a gazzilion tests on different brands (as FRERs out of stock everywhere

Fertility and Endometriosis
Hi everyone - I really need your insights if you know about fertility and endometriosis I've had an ongoing uncertainty around whether I have endometriosis ever since I started IVF treatment and now I am at a crossroads with it. I had an MRI very recently which confirmed there is a small endometrioma

Endometrial Scratch done
Hi everyone, Thought I’d share my experience on the endometrial scratch, as there may be someone like me googling or searching the forum on how the Scratch is. I’ve went in for the scratch this afternoon, took less than a minute. It’s similar to a smear test, but then they insert a tiny catheter
