Post Circumcision Scar Ring
Hey this is a last resort for me because my doctor is of no help or I’m not confident in his advice. I had circumcision surgery two months ago because of balinitis. It took a whole month for the wound to close. But then over the past month it just stopped, the pain sensitivity is going away however there's

Best bone supplements
I never know which supplements to take, or which are good. Can anyone recommend? Does anyone take this one? I have osteopenia age 45 through having my ovaries removed post cancer, and am very keen to stop any further bone loss. This forum is amazing, thanks so much for all the posts and advice. :) Rundown

Bad reaction to sublingual b12....
Hi All, After having a bad reaction to the Jarrows 1000mcg sublingual b12 which was an acne and dermatitis related bright red scaly rash over my face, I’ve decided I’m going to give the 50mcg cyanocobalamin tablets a good go to see if they raise my b12 levels. It says on the packet 1-3 a day so I’m thinking

Help with blood test results - taking too much levothyroxine?
Hello, I just got my results back (I'm still waiting for folate) from my latest blood test after starting levothyroxine earlier this year. I wasn't able to get a full thyroid panel (I'm overseas and it's not offered here) but I'm hoping you can give me some advice based on my results. I'm wondering if

Infection after partial circumcison
Hi everyone, I am hoping someone will be able to help me. I had a partial circumcision done two weeks ago today. After the procedure, I was prescribed an anti-biotic and pain killers from the doc. The first week I was so sensitive I was applying vaseline on the head of the penis for relief, my doc

Worried about Dad
Hello everyone, I am new to the group and need a bit of advice. My Dad is now 74 and takes statins due to a mild heart attack last year and had a stent put in. He asked me was there any vitamins he could take as his memory is starting to fail him. His older brother is also in a care home from last year

Free T3 is 4.0 and top range is 4.4Free T4 is 1.82 and top range is 1.77 Reverse T3 is 25 down from 40 top range is 24 TPO is 15(0-35) Does this say I have Hashimoto’s and don’t convert from T4 to T3 well? Hormone doc gave me Cytomel. I’m on Testosterone shots and vitamin D3 7,000 IU’s daily liquid

What supplements do folk use for PMR ?
I was wondering what supplements people use with PMR to help both the condition and to counteract the pred side effects? I’m coming up to the first anniversary of diagnosis and have tapered to about 6mg which I can’t get below at the moment. I supplement with Fultium D3 daily and a cod liver oil capsule

Advice on treatment for osteoporosis.
Hi, I’m new here and this is my first post. I was diagnosed with osteoporosis in 2015 after I sustained a right hip fracture following a fall. DEXA scan showed T.score -3.1 spine; -2.6 femoral neck; -2.9 left hip. I was started on Adcal-D3 and alendronic acid. I stopped the Alendronate after 6 months

Blood test results - and lichen sclerosus!
Hi all, I posted a few days ago about my latest diagnosis of Lichen Sclerosus. I've been on Thyroxine for a couple of years now (75mg). I’ve been unwell and docs have said I have Lichen sclerosis in my genital area. It’s horrifically uncomfortable and makes me feel so unwell. I believe this is anther

Digestive Enzymes
Hi all Apologies as I know this isn't related to Vegan foods 'per se' but related to supplements. I have been having a lot of problems with my skin and by looking online I would say that I have too much Histamine as I have bumps on my arms, legs, neck and back that itch a lot. I'm on anti-histamines

Stomach acid effects on oral Bisphosphonates
Has anyone got experience of how Bisphosphonates are affected by stomach acid? Could reduced stomach acid cause unresponsive esophageal valves that then leak stomach contents after taking Bisphosphonates? Presumably, Bisphosphonates are tested on healthy volunteers, not those people with coexisting

Hot flushes and night sweats
Hi all, I’m 35 and have very low AMH. I had an ICSI cycle cancelled before egg collection earlier this year because I didn’t respond to the medications. We’re having a break until the new year when we’re hoping to go for a private cycle, but recently I’ve been having hot flushes and night sweats. I
