Infection after partial circumcison

Hi everyone,

I am hoping someone will be able to help me.

I had a partial circumcision done two weeks ago today.

After the procedure, I was prescribed an anti-biotic and pain killers from the doc.

The first week I was so sensitive I was applying vaseline on the head of the penis for relief, my doc never advised me to do this, infact he didn't really give much aftercare advice at all. Anyways, I noticed a tiny whitish yellowish coating forming over the head of my penis during the first week. I originally thought it was the vaseline dried in hard, but it was not coming of in or after showering.

I went back to my doc on Monday and he said it was the vaseline dried in and it has formed a layer on the head and I need to try jet wash it of in the shower. He also prescribed be some anti biotic/steroid cream - Fucibet and told me rub a tiny layer on the penis 2/3 times a day.

The white layer has reduced a small bit but it certainly did not come of with force from the shower.

Has anyone experienced similar? I am so worried about it?

Hi Man, if your glans are fully exposed now the skin sometimes can peel and could even blister it usually happens a week or two after the circumcision your glans will dry out and the sensitivity will decrease after this happens.

Thank you, because some of the skin has peeled I have been putting dressing around it as I dont want the open skin cuts to get infected, should I just leave it undressed again?

If it's raw looking you could use some dressing if you try and let it dry out if you can. if you are not going out you could leave it out to air when you are at home
