Kidneys and Hashimotos
Hi all, I am waiting for an endo appt in June to see if I need to go into Levo or T3. I get kidney pain in the morning after eating sugar/carbs the night before, which I am attempting to minimise. Can I ask if anyone has had the same thing, and if so, whether they have seen improvements after going

Help please
Further to my previous posts, after consultation with Roseway Labs last week the Pharmacist increased my t3 to 10ug daily (previously prescribed 5ug by Endo). I had reduced levo to 75ug from 100ug as last bloods showed T4 at very high end of the range even though I had been on T3 for the previous 10

T3 side effects
Good morning, I have recently started T3 (around 7 weeks ago). I was prescribed 10mcg daily alongside 62.5mcg of Levo. After the first week I dropped the dose to 5mcg due to palpitations. I increased back up to 10mcg 3 weeks later. In the last couple of weeks I have been experiencing a lot of joint

I’m struggling to lose weight - I reach a certain weight and although still eating the same as when I lost 8lb I’m stuck at this weight! I take 125mcg of levothyroxine daily my doctor tells me my bloods and levels are fine so any suggestions to how I can budge this extra half a stone I’d be very grateful

Stopping Levothyroxine after 17 days?
Just to seek some advice and insights from the knowledgeable forum fellows. I have be subclinical hypothyroid for over ten years (unaware until recently). I had some health issues and a form of extreme fatigue developed between February and March. It was unbearable and I went mental enough to hassle

Should I increase T4 or T3?
Diagnosed with paroxysmal AFib in 2021 (in A&E), was on 75mcg Levo and 10mcg Liothyronine (not converting well from T4 to T3) Was doing ok with ranges of FT4 around 15 -17(12-22), FT3 around 5.2 -5.9 (3.1-6.8) and a suppressed TSH of around 0.1 – 0.005 (0.27-4.2). Was advised to drop T3 to 5mcg after

Hyper or Hypo?!
Good morning, I am not going to rewrite my entire story as it’s in my bio, but basically I was diagnosed as hyperthyroid approx six weeks ago and commenced on 20mg Carbimazole daily. I tested positive for TPO’s but neg for TRAB. I was symptomatic of hyperthyroidism. I have just had my bloods redone

Poor GP response for years!
Hello. First time poster here Long story short I have been taking Levothyroxine for around 8 years and within this time I have had a constant battle with my GP to manage my symptoms. Unfortunately I have found that it does depend on which GP you get as to whether they will increase Levothyroxine.

tsh ‘suppressed’ but I want to stay on 125mcg levo. Thoughts?
Morning all! Just had results back from gp thyroid panel (so only tsh and t4). 23rd April Tsh: 0.2 (range 0.27-4.2) T4: 15.9 (10.5-24.5) I’d asked for an increase in levo from 100-125mcg and had been taking the increased dose for around 10 weeks when I had this test. Here are my previous results

tsh too low on levo dose
Hi, I was trialling an increase of levo from 125 to 150. My tsh dropped from 1.6 to 0.09 ( range 0.27-0.42) and gp put me back down to 125. My t4 went from 22.5 just above normal range ( 12-22) to 25.5. Gp didn’t test t3 this time ( or the results aren’t back for it ) but my previous t3 was 3.6 when

Help with latest Blood Test
Hello, I’m hoping someone can give some advice on latest blood test please. I am on 100mgs Levothyroxine. I did trial T3 but didn’t notice much difference by taking T3really. Im not sure if this is because I wasn’t on a high enough dose of L4 at the start of trialing it. I have taken the D1o2 test

How to change from T3 only to T4?
I'm currently self medicating on 50mcg Tiromel and have been for a few years. My doctor prescribed me 75 mcg Eutirox 5 x week and 88 on the weekends. It just wasn't working for me, so after a lot of reading I assumed I was just someone with a faulty conversion gene and decided to try alternatives.

To split or not to split?
I have decided to start self medicating again and used the company I first used to buy some thyroxine. They have changed brands and now only supply Eltroxin in 100 mcg tablets. Tbh I didn't even think about that so ordered some thinking I could just split them as I felt 50 was a better starting point
