Running update
The physio is definitely helping my post tibial
tendonitis
and I'm looking forward (?) to more ultrasound and accupuncture on Monday. So I went on holiday to Helensburgh in Scotland to see family, a massive party for my 18 year old niece and my 50 year old brother.

Something to Fight For or Against
Hello all, I'm going to go on a little rant for a moment. A Facebook friend sent out a video post about a guy who was in the armed forces and injured his back and knees so bad from parachuting out of a plane too many times and landed too hard. It showed him in leg braces and walking with two canes.

Broken hip
Broken hip On the 18th October I slipped on decking landed on my hip and broke my hip. I am 56 years old , have lupus , aps and raynauds and have never broken a bone before. I was shocked to be told I would need a total hip replacement. The recovery has felt very slow and as you can imagine having lupus

Newly diagnosed with PMR
Is it
tendonitis
, frozen shoulders, sitting in the wrong chair or spinal problems. One tries to think of anything to resolve the problem. Initially my doctor said
tendonitis
as it was only in one arm so sent me to a chiropractor. Tried hot and cold treatment, exercises etc. That did nothing for me.

New Year's Eve 5k PBs
So that's it then running is done for the year. Since I started C25K in April I have been amazed by the support from this forum. THANK YOU ALL! It has paid off. Since June when I got my Garmin I have done over 500km with some injuries but a new found passion for just simply running. I wanted to end this

Parkrun - 21:46 - 3rd Place finish!!!
Hi all, It was very cold and windy today which meant we had less than 30 people turn up for today's run. It was so cold that the 30 seconds it took to take my jacket off before we began was enough for me to lose feeling in my fingers! I made sure to put my gloves on quickly! I was thinking of running

So, is 2.5 years a record?
In September this year I saw another "specialist" who actually sent me for xrays, scans etc. and to quote him " I have insertional
tendonitis
, that's a bummer" ( where the tendon joins the heel) and all of the exercises I've been doing for years "were not likely to help" I've spent hours/years doing

Doctor won't act
The main symptom has been
tendonitis
, however my hair has been falling out, i've been making mistakes due to lack of concentration at work, i have a constant reflux cough, breathlesness, over 2 stone weight gain, carb & caffiene cravings. However, tiredness has been my least troublesome symptom.

Carpal tunnel syndrome diagnosis?
When I asked what was causing all the pain and weakness in my hands he said he didn't know, that it could be
tendonitis
, to wear a fuller wrist splint and rest! I have neuropathy amongst many other conditions so my nerves are weird anyway.
