I have tendonitis
I have recently been diagnosed with exactly the same thing in the same place , I use voltarol gel and take co dydramol when real bad I would like to know if it's connected to fibromyalgia too
Iv had an injection into my right shoulder worked for a couple of wks pain free then bang back worse than ever, but everyone different hope it works for you .
I have not had steroid injections but I had a procedure called myofacial release done. They inject saline instead of steriods. I found it very helpful when my tendonitis was bad. I was sore for about 72 hours after the treatment, and especially the first day after. It really did help release my tendons though and I had significant improvement after 6 treatments. The dr who did the procedure suggested doing light yoga for exercise. I found a great yoga instructor who does a therapeutic yoga class. The yoga is also helpful for my fibro.
I had tendonitis in my shoulder (I actually had rotator cuff) and had the injection some years ago. The injection was not that bad as the doctor put in local anaesthetic first. However, the problem came back so I had physiotherapy which was very effective. I have also had similar problems in my hip and had a steroid injection then - in 1998 and the problem returned. Also had physio for this which has not been as effective. I have had so many different problems with tendonitis and bursitis over the years. I seemed to be chasing tendonitis round my body! And I so ached all over and found moving difficult. I got diagnosed with fibromyalgia two and a half years ago but soon after that realised I had something else wrong and then diagnosed with non coeliac gluten intolerance. Since cutting out gluten and other associated foods I have been so much better. However, my hips do ache still but the best treatment for me (apart from cutting out gluten) has been regular massages and Pilates, which replaces the physio I had.
Hi, I suffer from tendinitis in my achillies (heel) tendon and it's so painful, I had cortisone put into one of them years ago and it worked a treat. I find it very difficult to walk as the tendon won't stretch when I walk.
I had it in my shoulder too but once I had the injection if was fine, I hope it has the same effect you to.
Hugs xxxx
