it was our Santa parkrun yesterday! I got a Santa dress on ebay as i thought it would be more comfy to run in , and i was right! no chaffed legs for me! and it stayed up and everything! loads of us there, 204 in total, and some fun outfits including a big cardboard gift box(much faster than me still!) , a hairy guy in a fairy mini dress , and a cute penguin! also highlight of seeing my BF Tracy's husband and sons in matching elf outfits, and her in a very tight red dress glitzed up dress which was a TAD revealing, and prompted her to keep her jacket on for most of the run!!!!
very muddy, so ended up fairly splattered, there was a great moment when a lady imfront rebelled against the guy who kept jumping in the muddy puddles and they had a splashing contest to soak each other, funniest part of the run!!! Boz ran with me, a bit in personal trainer mode, which prompted a few rude words from me! but made it round in 31.15, only 1 min off my PB so not bad considering the muddiness!
at the end we got running santa medals! didn't expect that! and they are engraved too on the back! there were snacks too at the end, but couldn't stop long as had to get to work for 10.30, so quick shower at dads then off to cope with"Panic Saturday " in the shop at work! Still, had tea, mincepies and choc so it wasn't a bad day overall!

Lovely outfit Ali and how good to get medals too! Well done on your time, its not easy in the mud. We had plenty of costumes at ours yesterday and loads of cakes and sweets, but no medals! x
Thanks! hope you are well? good to hear you had xmas parkrun too! Just found this quote on our Parkrun news report.................!
"This weekend’s run was our last before Christmas, and it was our latest fancy dress run. I spotted one Christmas present, several penguins, lots of elves and a chimney full of Father Christmas-es, but the most disturbing sight was the fairy. If I found that on top of my tree, I would leave home!"
he did look really funny! what a good sport that guy is!
yes the medal was a lovely surprise! christmas tree shaped with a running santa on and engraved medina parkrun on the back. A lovely momento!
Thamks miss wobble ! Medal is quite cool ! Off to friends xmas do in a min, the running club are going to run 4.5 miles tom eve to see the charity very christmassy bungalow with grotto out of town, uphill all the way, that should get rid of some of my snacks tonight !
Have a great run Ali. Our jog group leader took us round the town's best bedecked windows one Christmas. It was lovely. You forget that you're running as you're too busy oooooohing and aaaaaahing.
