On a mission to eat healthily!
I’m quite proud of myself today as I was in work but still managed to eat three healthy meals and a few healthy snacks. Breakfast was porridge, almond milk, blueberries, strawberries, raspberries, blackberries, sunflower and pumpkin seeds. Instead of my usual cuppa I had two cups of hot water with lemon

Is barley malt extract gluten free?
I have followed a gluten free diet since before Christmas which doesn’t seem to have made much difference. I sometime have Rice Krispies, and read that BME can be tolerated by celiacs, however this seems debatable. I’m now unsure if this could be why being GF hasn’t made a difference to me. Any ideas

Pulmonary Hypertension - can DHA in fish oil reduce arterial pressures?
I have discovered something that I think is very important and I just want to share the info. For those who just want the take home message - reducing Omega 6 in the diet and increasing Omega 3 (specifically by taking the DHA in fish oil) can possibly reduce arterial pressures. Everything you think is

Thank you for accepting me in this forum. I have been ill since my thirties (I am now 67) and was diagnosed at 50 with Hashimotos, it seems to be hereditary as my mother and two sisters also have it. I was put on only 25mg of thyroxine and from that moment on I was a lot worse. I asked if I could

Fish with extra Fish
Hello! I know everyone is not a fan, but I love the stuff. Low carbs & fish oil is good for you. I have been a type 1 diabetic since England WON a big football game. That's 52 years. Put seafood near me & it's gone. I do not like the sweet stuff & am pleased.

TSH too dangerously high to start family?
I have been taking levothyroxine for ten years since my late teens. In August a blood test carried out through medichecks revealed my TSH was 1.78 (range 0.27-4.2) T4 was 21.6 range 12-22) and T3 was 4.21 (range 3.10-6.80) In late August I started to take levothyroxine at night instead of in the morning

3 months since my 1st Thyroid blood tests, had another set of tests done and not sure where to go
Had the full thyroid blood tests done in February where it was discovered i was 0.7 below Hashimotos with a TSH level of 2.6. Was severly deficient in Vitamin D and Folate. I posted my results on this forum and received some incredible advice. I adressed the Vitamin D and folate issues. Told my GP about

ADHD and Ritalin
Hello. I have an 8 year old son who was recently diagnosed with ADHD. We’ve been avoiding medication to see if other factors helped to control some of the issues. We have been using essential oils on him, changed his diet to remove sugars and dyes (which he hardly had any to begin with), and even
