Hashimoto’s or Graves’ symptoms or…? Help to clarify please.
Hi everybody! I’m new here. Would be very grateful for your advice. I was diagnosed with Hashimoto’s 17 years ago. It was in different country not in the UK. I have never been on medication as I was told if my T4 level is ok I don’t need any pills. I’m now in UK for about 5 years. I’ve never seen endocrinologist

Gluten or dairy free?
Hi everyone. I have posted previously about raised antibodies (Anti-TG 347 range <115, and Anti-TPO 53.6 range <34) Now having got my head around this, I can considering a gluten free diet to try to reduce the inflammation. My thyroid appears to be working normally - most recent results with a 9am

Anyone taking 325mg aspirin with 1000-1500 HU daily for ET?
I'm 75 and my platelets are under 700. I also take fish oil along with a dozen prescription meds. My oncologist prescribed this much aspirin and HU. Should I be concerned? Anyone else taking this much aspirin and HU? I take 1000 every other day and 1500 opposite days.

T3 trial continues
Hi there - here are my latest bloods - done fasting with no meds and before 9am - last dose of levo 24 hours before - last dose T3 12 hours before I've worked hard at improving vitamins and minerals - still ferritin is a bit low but currently on a dose of iron tabs from GP so may improve by the end

Dry eyes and mouth
Is sea buckthorn oil capsules good for sjogrens syndrome? I had this diagnosis yrs ago and I know there is a correlation between sjogrens and hashimotos which I also have. Tried lots of eye lubricants (Prescriotion and OTC ) and oral sprays over the years but nothing has helped. Think I may have heard

gluten free
I kept reading about gluten free diets helping people on levothyroxine but never stuck to it properly for more than a few days, until now. I have been, to my knowledge, entirely gluten free for 2 full weeks and I just wanted to come here and say that I feel much better ! I have been going to the toilet

Turmeric Curcumin: BCM-95 or Meriva - Maybe Neither
I switched my Turmeric to BCM-95 some years ago. I had read an article “researchers believe that the ar-turmerone derivatives... can be used as new therapeutic agents for Parkinson’s disease (a). The search was on to find a supplement with turmerone. I found BCM-95 had some essential oils in it. I asked

Food sensitivities
Hi everyone, just looking for a bit advice re food issues. I have had long term issues with constipation, which resolved when I went dairy free. I also find I feel much better on a gluten free diet so have been GF and DF for about 1 year. These are both very tricky to manage when eating out and I know

Am in need of a bit of tlc
My husband is 88 and has been having treatment for kidney stones, 3 different ops within a short space of time, and is within a whisker of having to have dialysis. My A/Fib has really come back and my bp which had been under control with no meds is now far too high and am taking increasing doses

Hi everyone, just a bit of background info: These are my NHS test results from Nov 2023: t4 13.8 (7-17) tsh 0.10 (0.20 - 4.50) although the TSH came back slightly under range at that time, thankfully the GP said “no action” so I have carried on with 75mcg (have been having my usual brands - no

Going gluten free - how long until antibodies reduce?
Hello, I was been taking 100 levothryoxine for Hashimoto’s for approx 10 years and I test my antibodies with medicheck every year or so (levels are roughly 590, normal range is 0-34) Due to infertility, I was advised by a nutritionist try a gluten free diet to reduce inflammation, and hopefully reduce
