The 'Brain Energy Gap' and its possible implication on the progress of PD.

Ibs pain
I have recently been diagnosed with ibs, well my doctor has said it’s ibs but I am awaiting further tests. I have been following a gluten free diet for about 2 months now, I have noticed that I am less bloated but that has been the only change. I am wanting to ask, does anyone else get woke up through

What happens after the liver referral?
The blob on hubbys kidney has disappeared which means that he has been referred to Birmingham QE to see a heptologist. Today we received an outpatient app to go on Feb 6th. I’m assuming that this isn’t the TPA so is this so that they can meet him and go over what he’s been happening so far that brought

update on hubby
Hubby was feeling very bad earlier in the year from what turned out to be overdosing of levodopa when they changed him to the ER madopar. This caused severe rigidity even in his throat, agitation and sundowning in the evening, and eventually he kept trying to escape in the night to try and kill himself

2 year old Toddler with RLS
Hi there! Came here out of desperation. My soon to be 2 year old has had terrible sleep since day 1. He is extremely hyperactive, and would be up in the middle of the night for hours. We tried every natural syrup or solution recommended by doctors. Finally saw a neurologist and he suggested RLS. We are

Gluten free diet
I have been on a Gluten Free diet for more then 10 years. Recently I have had abdominal pain, flatulence, and reflux after food. I found out you can buy a Coeliac kit from the chemist, but not sure about it. I feel I should go to the GP but have been in hospital in the past and the DR there said I had

Results guidance please
Hello, Please could I ask for some advice on my recent blood test results? I’m on a journey to understanding the link between thyroid function and repeated miscarriages (I’ve put more details in my bio section). These were my results from December 2023 (from blue horizon). I spoke to a private endocrinologist

Fibromyalgia help! Please
Hiya, I was wondering if anyone knows of anything that can help symptoms from fibromyalgia, anything that isn't hard medication, I have heard cod liver oil, tumeric and magnesium. I want to know any thoughts on this or anything else that people have found that works. Anything and information at all

Do I risk taking T3 medication?
I had a double thyroidectomy 15 years ago and I have managed quite well on an optimal dose of 112mcg of Mercury Pharma levothyroxine per day. After the second operation I was told that the crucial test results would now be T3 and T4 instead of T4 and TSH . I was advised that I would probably feel well

Advice please 😌
Hi everybody, It’s nice to meet you all! So I’m sure you have loads of people posting on here about their frustrations with the NHS/GPs etc. therefore I won’t bore you with all of the details. My journey began in Dec 22 with what I thought was a bout of viral infection-induced joint pain in my hands

Early 50s male, healthy till hypothyroidism my first few months experience of treatment
I don't usually share info on the internet, but as a lot of material out there is aimed at women or Americans (I mean no offence to either!) I thought I'd stay my experience so far. Diagnosis, what does it all mean, and treatment/first medications. DIAGNOSIS Late 2022 I saw a nurse as I was taking longer

COQ10
👋 to allHas anyone tried COQ10 supplement? Have been recommended to try it by 'holistic' nutritionist. Satisfactory Serum free T4?
Hi everyone, First time posting anything but my latest results say satisfactory T4 result, as a comment from the health professional. The result is out of the range so I am wondering if I am being fobbed off. Results as follows: TSH - 1.64 mIU/L (0.38-5.33) Serum free T3 - 4.8 pmol/L (3.8-6.0) Serum

Am I going insane?
Hmm so I’m just wondering, do those of you with PA that self inject regularly still suffer extreme fatigue and body aches and pains or other symptoms? I have celiac disease and that’s in remission thanks to a gluten free diet and I self inject fortnightly. I follow a good gut health diet but was told
