Complications and long term problems after having pacemaker fitted
I have quite a long story which started last November when I had a pacemaker fitted for heart pauses ,
tachycardia
and bradycardia . A few days later I needed the leads replaced as one had moved , I was rushed to hospital with the worse pain on left side of chest and left arm.

PROPRANOLOL WITHDRAWAL SIDE EFFECTS
My doctor said to expect some
tachycardia
but not to worry. I was taking 160mg of propranolol per day and had been for 20yrs. Ever since stopping my heart rate has been over 90 even when resting and sitting down. Sometimes when sat down it is as high as 125.

Cutting an extended release tablet in half?
I ended up in the emergency room again yesterday, with
tachycardia
, just like last month and the month before. Finally, was converted with two 5 mg doses of diltiazem, given about an hour apart--just like last time and the month before.

Has anyone had their ablation abandoned due to phrenic nerve?
So my EP says my heart is quite scarred and irritable from the operations, hence me having recurring issues with AFL and now atrial
tachycardia
. Anyway on Wednesday my EP managed to stimulate and map my atrial
tachycardia
but was unable to proceed with the ablation.

1st admission & trying to make sense of it all
I was kept in due to
tachycardia
, lack of significant improvement in peak flow & the tightness in my lower chest. Despite back to back nebs of salb & Ibro (not sure what it’s name was).

Skin allergies
(still Seretide because of
tachycardia
that doesn't flow well with salbutamol) The problem now is that I have gotten these skin allergies!🤕 it's so irritating because I just keep scratching my skin and get hives eventually.

Synbicort / spiriva: insomnia and tachycardia
Hi all, Following my latest hospitalisation, I’ve had a full drug overview. To get rid of the stupidly high dose of seretide I was one, the respo nurses moved me over onto seretide (2x 2 puffs, an and pm) plus spiriva respinat (2 puffs, am), plus retaining my montelukast. The eventual goal is to drop

After 5 hours in the ER, numerous blood draws, a chest xray, an arm xray, a urinalysis, an EKG as my blood pressure was quite high, a saline IV to lower my heart rate as I was

Thank you
I have experimented with high doses of potassium but I also have super ventricular
tachycardia
and if the minerals get out of whack my heart goes berserk. All to say that I don’t have a solution.

Random info re long covid and asthma - bedtime reading if anyone interested, take what you like from it or not 🙂.
Now we know a huge part of long covid is BPD,
tachycardia
, SOB, but other conditions like asthma can cause some or all of the above too. Here are some links feel free to read or add more, I'm not saying there gospel but it's a start in reading about something so new.

GFR
Hi, I'm trying to get to the bottom of
tachycardia
besides the lame excuses of stress and anxiety. I've been going back over my GFR results and in 2016 it was 60, 2017 60, 2019 56 and 2020 66. With these types of results should I have had further investigations done.

What to do Next??
I posted about a month ago that I had hoped finally that I was going to be diagnosed with Inappropriate Sinus
Tachycardia
. So at the beginning of December I had yet another 3 day Holter to look at this.

For the Stormy Sunshine
I have only just heard that Stormy is in hospital with heart trouble (
Tachycardia
). I hope she is feeling better soon and that these Alpacas bring a smile to her face as they join me in wishing her a speedy recovery.

Update to Confused and Fed up
Luckily it wasn't cancelled and I now have yet another holter monitor for three days but at least this time they are looking for Inappropriate Sinus
Tachycardia
which the other hospital ruled out due to my average heart rate not being over 100.
