You must take the advice of your doctors and take the Bisoprolol it is a very common medication and should slow your heart somewhat and this should make you feel better.
Hi Pete And thanks I stress about everything and new medication worries me alot and I've been stupid and gone online and read about bisoprolol fumarate tablets and saw some bad reviews and the trouble with me is it hang on to the bad things I read it also worry because my mum had heart disease so I'm scared it's not just anxiety disorder
Bisoprolol is also prescribed for palpitations caused by anxiety so you are worrying about the wrong thing! All medications have other effects and it is a balance to get the best result with the least bad effects. Doctors don’t like it if you don’t try what they suggested because it looks as if you don’t really need or want help. Do try that tiny dose of Bisoprolol and if you find you can’t tolerate it after a decent trial like a month then you can ask to try something else 💜
Please don't worry about taking such a small dose of Bisoprolol. Give it a go and see how you feel. I've found that even this small dose helps with my palpitations. I've also had bouts of narrow complex tachycardia and tend to have low iron stores. I take a small iron supplement daily ( prescribed). Sometimes anaemia can contribute to fast heart rates ...tachycardia.
Hi Julia yes it's reassuring I will give it a go tomorrow it seems so silly that something that can help me im so scared of taking the doctor did say to me low iron can cause plapitaions
I'm very worried about the narrow complex tachycardia the doctor said I had two short narrow complex tachycardia that showed on ecg my health anxiety as convinced me I've got something bad wrong with me every time I talk to the doctor I repeat myself asking the same thing is it something to worry about they say no but anxiety always says different
You may well find that taking the Bisoprolol will help with the anxiety aspect once you get the palpitations under control. Try not to let your imagination run riot and trust your doctor. Good luck and let us know how you get on !
I have also suffered with anxiety and palpitations. After being admitted to hospital in April with HF and AF, I was prescribed Bisoprolol. I can honesty say that it has helped me enormously. Take care. x
Hi everyone still not took it been taking my propranolol still I could scream I hate my anxiety I've promised myself I'm gonna take it tomorrow all your advice as calmed me down alot I suppose because I'm still waiting for the cardiology appointment I'm just scared but your all amazing
Hi people thanks for your advice it's been very reassuring my doctor as said I can stay on propranolol if I want to if it helps with my anxiety he said as long as I'm taking a beta blocker at least once a day but I'm finding I'm having to take it two times a day 40mg in the morning and one in the evening
