Tachycardia

I've recently had a mitral valve replacement and I'm struggling to get my heart rate under control. It's averaging around 115. I've just done my bloods and they are normal. My ft4 is at the very top of the range even though my tsh is normal. Any suggestions?

Hi, Does anyone have any problems with tachycardia and cfs? I have bad chronic Fatigue Symptoms but have been told that it could be due to tachycardia? any similar experiences?

Hello years ago when I was 21 I started getting episodes of fast heart rate and was diagnosed with supraventicular tachycardia but have only took beta blockers for the past 6 or 7 years. Recently I've also been diagnosed with sinus tachycardia.

I asked about how long I should sit out post ablation tachycardia on Saturday and got lots of very kind replies and many asking for an update. So I did go to A&E and after three hours was admitted to the A&E ward. HR was 95 but trying to convert back to normal speed.

Hi all, I recall that some folks here have had P&A to sort out atrial tachycardia as well as AF. I understand the PMs can have one lead to the LV or two leads one to each ventricle. Do PMs fitted after P&A - especially if for atrial tachycardia - have any leads to the atria and, if so, why?

I’ve been experiencing tachycardia every day for 18 months. Heart rate is totally normal lying down, POTs ruled out as HR sometimes fine standing. Things like walking upstairs can cause jump from 70 - 160, having a shower causes at least HR of 130 every day.

I have constant fast heart rate. I have been prescribed Ivabradine. I have tried many medications in the past but they either dont work or the side affects are bad. What are peoples experiences with this drug. Thanks

Then, after contracting the flu on 2/6/25, 3 days later, I experienced low bpm early in the day (40s) then developed what my Kardia showed to be tachycardia. I took the pill-in-pocket 30 mg diltiazem as directed.

Has anyone with an atrial tachycardia still getting flutters, palpitations and odd chest sensations like prickliness and pressure pain in arm and shoulder after a year on nebivolol initially 5mg but currently at 3.75mg daily.

it feels a bit final but consultant has said I have complex arrhythmias and living with the tachycardia and HOCM is stressful I am hoping for more stability.

Much of this sounds reasonable but I was rather concerned about the tachycardia. After some googling I came across the following “Non-sustained ventricular tachycardia (NSVT).

I had my ablation for atrioventricular nodal reentry tachycardia (AVNRT) which is a common form of supraventricular tachycardia (SVT) on December 18. I also have AF which has been successfully ablated for 5 years now.

I reduced from 3.5 grains to 3 because back in 2001 I didn’t have tachycardia at 3 grains and my TSH was 1.6, Ft3 4.2 and Ft4 was 13.2, at 3.5 grains I have tachycardia sometimes and my TSH is 0.008.
