Tachycardia

Hello years ago when I was 21 I started getting episodes of fast heart rate and was diagnosed with supraventicular tachycardia but have only took beta blockers for the past 6 or 7 years. Recently I've also been diagnosed with sinus tachycardia.

I asked about how long I should sit out post ablation tachycardia on Saturday and got lots of very kind replies and many asking for an update. So I did go to A&E and after three hours was admitted to the A&E ward. HR was 95 but trying to convert back to normal speed.

I have constant fast heart rate. I have been prescribed Ivabradine. I have tried many medications in the past but they either dont work or the side affects are bad. What are peoples experiences with this drug. Thanks

Can anyone tell me of their experience, please, of undergoing a cardioversion for AFib/tachycardia?

Supraventricular tachycardia (SVT) is a rapid abnormal heart rhythm that begins in the upper chambers of the heart. The atria are above the ventricles, hence the term supraventricular. The term tachycardia refers to a rapid heartbeat of over 100 beats per minute.

I’ve been experiencing tachycardia every day for 18 months. Heart rate is totally normal lying down, POTs ruled out as HR sometimes fine standing. Things like walking upstairs can cause jump from 70 - 160, having a shower causes at least HR of 130 every day.

May 2022 was travelling home when my apple watch went into alarm high heart rate. Was actually 150 yards from West Cumberland Hospital 1-30 in morning went to A & E said 4 hours wait. Went to desk and even as was giving details was asked to go into majors. They said as no other symptoms my watch probably

I have been diagnosed on various occasions with Ventricular Tachycardia, likely arising on the outward tract of the right ventricle. I have an absolutely normal heart structurally. Had since 14, now 46. Have had 3 ablations and going for a 4th shortly.

Anyway, I just got the result which stated : Atrial Tachycardia. Can anyone explain how a trace of 30 seconds which had a consistent heart rate of 64/66 could be interpreted as tachycardia ? Just one more thing to get stressed about ! Annie

Hi again, my symptoms are back, breathing laboured/gasping, swollen neck, whistling nose and tachycardia. On 125levo and 40mcg T3 split dose.

it feels a bit final but consultant has said I have complex arrhythmias and living with the tachycardia and HOCM is stressful I am hoping for more stability.

If I ignore the tachycardia and push myself to do what I started (let's say making a meal that takes 5 to 10 minutes) at that point the only thing will help if I lie down.

I would be grateful for anyone's opinion as I am a bit of a worrier and the tachycardia bit bothered me. How can your heart go fast for 3 seconds and be recorded.

I reduced from 3.5 grains to 3 because back in 2001 I didn’t have tachycardia at 3 grains and my TSH was 1.6, Ft3 4.2 and Ft4 was 13.2, at 3.5 grains I have tachycardia sometimes and my TSH is 0.008.

Hello I was diagnosed with Atrioventricular nodal reentry tachycardia (AVNRT) in feb 2023 managing ok also this year was diagnosed with high cholesterol and diabetes Husband has been diagnosed with heart failure in the last 3 weeks waiting to see Cardiology

Well, I,had an ablation on May 10th for Atrial Tachycardia and it was a 'success' in that they ablated the SVT. The downside is that 1) they weren't able to ablate the left sided ectopics, and 2) I have lingering inappropriate sinus tachycardia.

Being referred to long covid clinic with all the symptoms :short of Breath fatigue, dizzy, tachycardia, faint feeling. Is anyone else going through this and finding thyroid issues either lower or higher TSH? Mine was 0.52 recently but previously has been 1.1/0.72.

., and that lands me in Emergency where I am monitored & usually get a drip of a BB or of a CCB (that’s up to the ER doctor) Mostly the tachycardia occurs in the evenings or the wee hours of the morning.
