Hello, just got back from hosptial where I was expecting to be told my appointment has been cancelled due to me getting another letter saying my symptoms were down to anxiety!!
Luckily it wasn't cancelled and I now have yet another holter monitor for three days but at least this time they are looking for Inappropriate Sinus Tachycardia which the other hospital ruled out due to my average heart rate not being over 100. Tried to tell them it wouldn't be because my heart rate can fall to as low as 32bpm. So fingers crossed I finally get an official diagnosis of some sort.

The average bpm is a measure over time and in this case without looking at the highs and lows, and their duration.
For instance if you sat in an armchair for an hour at 70 bpm, and then got up and spent an hour vigorously hovering at 130bpm the average over the two hours would be 100bpm and nobody would be worried.
Now if you slept for an hour at 32bpm, turned over and your heart rate shot to 168bpm for the next hour the average would be 100bpm but the cardiology team would be worried.
So I think it is a question of waiting to see the holter results.
I’m sure you’ve read a couple of my posts considering you showed me a picture of some whacky wellies 🤭🤭
Anyway I was given Bisoprolol along with a couple of other meds when there was a suspicion of heart problems.
My heart rate is anything from 39 ish to 45 bpm I asked my Gp to reduce the Bisoprolol but wants to leave it for the cardiologist who I hardly talk to.
🙄
I’m presuming it’s taken to take the strain off your heart ? 🤗
I would be going beyond my remit to make any suggestions. You heart rate does seem low - I am on Bisoprolol and my resting HR is mid-50s. What I would suggest is talking to the BHF nurses and taking it from there. Do keep us updated.
