Thyroid levels postpartum
I'm worried that because my TSH is suppressed (as my GP will undoubtedly tell me), that she will drop my
Synthroid
back to 100 mcg as it was before I got pregnant. At that dose, I had very sore, swollen legs and huge problems losing any weight at all and don't want her to drop my dose.

Benefits of switching from Synthroid to Armour. Read this if you currently take synthetic T4 meds.
This message was originally submitted as a Reply to someone else's question; but I thought it was worth posting by itself so other's could see the benefits I've personally seen when I switched from synthetic T4
Synthroid
to the natural Armour Thyroid… I can't guarantee, can only speak from experience

Weight Gain With Dose Changes
I did fine on
Synthroid
for many years – lost weight, had energy – then my health (and labs) started to decline. Unfortunately, every time my meds were raised, my weight would also increase. I'm 30 pounds heavier now. I have been fighting fluid retention ever since.

I have been on
synthroid
for over 20 years. With the weight loss I have achieved, I started having a problem with my eyes, blurry at times, dryer than usual, and contact fitting changing, and the worst of it, the fatigue and feeling cold.

Fisetin for PD
" In January 2015 I became intolerant of rasagiline and
synthroid
, stopping both in February 2015. Without the rasagiline, I have more tremor, etc, but am able to function well. I'm currently taking 6 carbidopa/levodopa 25/100, and one 25/100 CR at 10 PM.

How to Understand Test Results
Hi, I was diagnosed with Hashimotos in May and started taking 25mcg of
Synthroid
each morning and then 6 weeks later increased to 50mcg each morning. I recently read T4 medications do not work? Last week I had blood tests done.

Switching from combo T4 + NDT to straight NDT
Hello All, After quite some time on
Synthroid
(and after it stopped working for me), I was put on WP Thyroid 2 grains, as well as 75mcgs of Levoxyl. There were definite improvements across the board – except in the weight department. I was still unable to shift any of the water weight.

Hillary Clinton's doctor gives her clean bill of health after 2012 concussion - takes thyroid pills
Her prescription is for Armour Thyroid, an alternative to the more typical
Synthroid
medication that some holistic physicians prefer because it is produced from dried pig thyroid glands instead of being synthesized in a laboratory. The pill is known mostly for its pungent odor.'

New discovery! Why synthroid or levothyroxine won't work.
I found this article that explanes how you can have normal TSH, t3, and t4 levels and still have hypothyroidism. It also explains how the hormone converts differently in the pituary gland than in the liver and how factors like depression, weight gain, stress, fibromyalgia, heart disease, diabetes and

Cortisol Saliva test results
Been to Endo and had my
Synthroid
dosage upped some and can already tell the difference as I'm not so exhausted all the time. I get checked again in 3 months to see how things are going and if I'm still experiencing symptoms-I have Hashimitos-then she will start me on some T3 as well.

T4/T3 and TSH
Told my doc I think maybe when I was on the
Synthroid
my T4 wasn't converting to T3 and now that I'm on T3 I likely need a lot less T4. She said I was wrong and everyone converts T4 to T3. Is she right about that? Also is it better or worse to be on the lower side of the TSH range?

How to fight osteoporosis
I was considering taking
Synthroid
before going to bed, but since I take magnesium at that time I don't want to combine them. Magnesium makes me sleepy.

Levothyroxine
I was on
synthroid
until I was 10 and then was put on Levothyroxine, and currently on 125 mg. My parents are divorced and I go back and forth from their houses quite often, and forget to take it most days.

Suffering With Extreme Fatigue
I take
Synthroid
100 mg and 5 mg of liothyrinne. About 2 in the afternoon I take another liothyrinne. If I don't I get very cold and tired. My blood work says I'm normal, but I feel terrible. I currently decided not to eat wheat. I'm on a low carb diet anyway.

Challenges in Thyroid Hormone Therapy: Why Is It So Complicated?by Holtorf Medical Group
