Update Labs/Contradicting Symptoms:
Back in March I had lowered my T4 to 137
Synthroid
from 163. Just to recap, my main symptoms are not being able to sleep and being fatigued and lethargic. I thought that maybe my FT4 was to blame and T3 doesn't do much for me except makes me feel hot and sweaty, definitely not like the T3 in NDT.

Worried That Hubby is Sub-Clinical Hypothyroid and Would Appreciate Your Opinion
After several moves and different doctors who wanted me to switch to
Synthroid
and/or reduce my 1.5 grain dose, I began relying on my own symptoms and treatment. With the help of this site, I have become more expert on hypothyroidism than most of the doctors who treated me over the years.

Virtual bioequivalence for achlorhydric subjects: The use of PBPK modelling to assess the formulation-dependent effect of achlorhydria
Note the comparison was between
Synthroid
(branded levothyroxine) and Tirosint (gel capsule) - across a range of levels of acidity. (The range of acidities was 7 to 1.2 with 7 being neutral, and 1.2 being strongly acidic.)

Viewpoint from across the pond
Many books/articles talk about TSH,
synthroid
, etc etc. I watched a series of videos with doctors who talked about leaky gut, but it's hard to tell if that's real. This morning I read the thread "New here help with thyroid results please" which I found very interesting!

Questions about getting my wife pregnant, while having APS...
My doctor started me on Warfarin and
Synthroid
which have been working well. My thyroid is under control and my INR is around 3. I feel great now compared to what it was like a year ago, but I have also gained weight and am not as active as I would like to be.

Interesting story about thyroid treatment back to 1955
I highly suspect she was taking NDT since I don't think
Synthroid
was available then. He said she was healthy and energetic. I thought this was interesting.

Does medication screw up the thyroid hormones if prematurely treating a euthyroid syndrome?
I convinced the doctor to start me on
Synthroid
. Now check this out, compared to that 12% T4 and 37% T3. After being put on
Synthroid
, T4/T3 fluctuated around third in range. TSH around 2. On 75mg T3 matched the 37%, T4 38%. 100mg T4 shot to 79%, T3 drops to 31%, TSH drops to 0.57.

Any Success with Using Cytomel (Liothyronine) Alone?
After recently experiencing many negative health symptoms, that I knew were thyroid related, and undergoing many blood tests to rule out other health issues, I've have finally figured out that it was
Synthroid
causing all the problems. I've been taking
Synthroid
along with Cytomel for 3 years.

Could someone with low FT3 do ok on Levothyroxine only?
I was afraid to do the
Synthroid
from the many layers of horrible I've read about it, but now I wonder is there any truth to
Synthroid
, or is it wholly awful. I mean, if one has high or midrange FT4, would they take t3 only?

Lab Results: Confusing
So while the T4 dropped, the T3 improved on 88mcg
Synthroid
. On the 100mcg
Synthroid
, while the T4 had gone above the 75% of range, the conversion was lacking and T3 Free was less than it is now. I don't want to experience the frequent bowels I had on that dose.
