High dose Turmeric and links to low ferritin
My ferritin has dropped from 82ug/L (30-150) 4 months ago to 64ug/L (30-264) this week (both Medichecks- Inuvi lab). I’ve been scratching my head to find out why this could be, as my diet hasn’t changed. https://amzn.eu/d/bTWoF2o The only change I’ve made is to increase my usual turmeric dose (which

Hi all, my urine samples have started showing leukocytes protein and blood. I have GPA which mainly affects my lungs and now sinuses. I guess I just want to know if having these in my urine with no actual urine infection could mean that there's possibly now kidney involvement too?. Hope you're all keeping

Liver Beef Glandular pills for iron?
Hi. Has anyone tried Liver Beef Glandular pills to increase iron rather than iron pills directly? My naturopathic doctor prefers this for RLS, because he says that iron pills are oxidizing. My Ferritin is ~80. And, I'm new here -- super helpful community. Now that I understand RLS, as I look back,

Has anyone tried Neovos for an MMA urine test please?
Hi...wondering if anyone has tried these for tests please? I've used St Thomas hosp in past but they stopped over covid and am awaiting to hear back from them about current testing. Meanwhile these came up as offering a b12 urine test for £63,which is for MMA considerably cheaper than others available

increasing T3 advice
Hello, My endo has told me this week to increase from 5mcg T3 to 7.5mcg and if that feels ok / no palpitations after a week to go up to 10mcg. I’m also on levo 150 and have been told to go up to 175 at weekends. I posted my recent blood results on Monday. All vits tested December and optimal. Iron

seeing neurologist, advice on b12 injections welcomed…
hi all? have been prescribed with PA. My ferritin levels are normal - 177 Vitamin D- 70. I have finished loading does for b12 last week. My last reading was 188 2 weeks ago but imagine it’s greater than 2000 now. My folate was low - 3.5. My Gp has helpfully given me folic acid 5 mg a day

Any endos in London who will prescribe T3/T4 Combo?
Ideally I need an endo who will take insurance for tests and who will prescribe t3 if needed. My functional thyroid doctor has become too expensive for me. Please DM if you can suggest anyone in London. Thank you!

Results on 87t4+5t3TSH 0.03 Ft3 4.6 (3.5-6.5) Ft4 15(12-23) What would you recommend stay here or try to increase? Didn't do well on 100t4 so had to go back to 87 and add 5t3 again.

I am wondering if anyone has come across a Dr Zachariah in Horsham? I am looking for thyroid and adrenal glands. Please PM me as I would be interested to hear experiences. Thank you! PS As a side note, I was prescribed the 20mcg T3 after asking not to have the 10mcg capsules - thank you to everyone

How much T3 do you keep as backup?
I have to order a repeat T3 prescription in the next couple of day from a private GP at a lab and as I will be going away from home for approx 3 months I will have to request a large amount. It made me think that I should probably keep a reasonably large bank of T3 since running out could be very nasty

Seeking advice on Vitamin B6 in B Complexes. Background: Diagnosed hypothyroid since the late 1990's; switched to T3 liothyronine only since about 2014 because levothyroxine didn't help me . Diagnosed with Parkinson's (finally!) in early 2023. Currently under the care of a movement disorders specialist

T4 not being increased by GP
Hi everyone hope you are all doing g good and still fighting for your health! Following on from my previous post. A new GP in my practise wouldn’t increase my levo to 100mcg until she had the go ahead from endocrinology. They have decided that I am adequately medicated and won’t increase due to heart
