Blood pressure monitor advice
To save the 8 mile (45 minute) round trip to the GP
surgery
I was wondering if it was worth me purchasing a monitor. But the choice is bewildering and prices seem to vary considerably. There seems little point if it isn't going to be accurate. (Or accurate enough.)

Why are things so grim?
…anyway I’m booked in for
surgery
in 2.5 weeks time and can’t come soon enough. Today I started my period with no notice. A complete gush. I’ve leaked twice. Wrecked two pairs of knickers. Two pairs of jeans are in the wash. And the blood is thick and almost black?

How accurate is a visual field test?
I have another appointment the end of April and
surgery
will be scheduled if another test is not good. My pressure they think is too high. It settled about 14/15 after
surgery
, gradually increased to 29 in December and now 20 with maximum eye drops.

I can see the exit from the tunnel and the sun is shining.
Dr Murphy is totally disgusted with my
surgery
and said in a letter to them that their refusal is beyond belief.

What next?
Did some research and it was from the lead endo specialist at my hospital so atleast I know I've been transferred over from the cancer gynecologist to her and the plan is still for
surgery
. Wish I knew what was on the MRI or when I would meet her. Should I be calling up and asking or just wait?

Cold cap advice?
I've had
surgery
and about to start chemo tomorrow. Carbopentin only. They booked me a cold cap as I was originally going to have Carbo + Taxil which usually results in hair loss. Now the risk is lower so not sure whether you'd advise I use the cold cap or not. Has anyone had experience of this?

Tomorrow is finally the day of my MRI after waiting 3 1/2 months since the ultrasound and CT scan couldn't be sure of a mass or not.
Do you think if they are still unsure, or even if they can tell it's just a fibroid that I would have to have any kind of biopsy or
surgery
?

Remission
After the
surgery
in December to remove the largest one, I was told I had SLL. My world turned upside down. I had a PET scan in January and I lit up like a Christmas tree. The oncologist put me on 2 Acalabrutinib and one Allopurinol a day. Long story short, I had a bad reaction to the allopurinol.

Post Total Knee Replacement with RA
Sometimes a nerve gets damaged during
surgery
and this exéma like rash occurs or there is an allergy réaction to the metal or cement compound. I see my surgeon on Wednesday so I will ask him then but I suspect it’s the nerves.

It's been a year
If things don't improve I am going to have
surgery
, probably next year. I am still doing the same job as a breakfast chef! But next year I am going down to 4 days instead of 5. I have 2.5 years before I can retire. I hope everyone is keeping well. Take care. 😀
