NHS won't replace my implants!
I have inherited a faulty BRCA2 gene with my mother and sister dying from ovarian cancer. Because I was alerted there was a connection between breast cancer and ovarian cancer, my breast cancer was discovered early. After a mastectomy and implants over 20 years ago, I was told by the hospital that

Gall bladder removal
I’ve managed my gallbladder condition for over 5 years but want to have it removed with offending stones. Can anybody tell me about their experiences, pre and post removal. I’m in very low fat diet but experience gall bladder episodes one or twice a year, when I indulge but not in the sense of a normal

69 year old male. Kidney removal July 2017 (tumor on that kidney). Prior to removal egfr, all tests, normal. Immediately after removal and to this day egfr range 39 to 43. Creatinine level 1.7. See kidney doctor and urologist as scheduled. Both say my numbers are normal for my age and solitary kidney

I was diagnosed in December 2017 with stage 2B lobular breast cancer. After a left breast mastectomy in January 2018, chemo, and radiation, the cancer has metastasized to my bones... Any advice on how to weather this new development?

Ovarian cystectomy laparoscopy missing cyst wrong side?
Just had a laparoscopy to remove a 3cm ovarian dermoid cyst. But when I came round the nurse said they didn't find the cyst.... The incision is on the wrong side of my pelvis. Could they have looked on the wrong side? Were 2 ultrasound scans wrong? Can dermoid cyst disappear? I've been having dreadful

Oncology appointment went well- decision will most likely be follow up with ultrasounds no ovaries will be removed for now.
I had my oncology appt this past wednesday. For background I had an ovarian wedge resection in July and the pathology showed serous borderline cells on my left ovary. I was referred to oncologist. I had my oncologist app in Houston Tx on Wednesday and was highly recommended here. I met the Doc and we

Radiotherapy dilemma
Hi, I've recently had a mastectomy and reconstruction with an implant after being diagnosed with DCIS. I've now been recommended to have radiotherapy treatment and concerned about the risk of lung cancer and the destruction of the implant. Is there anyone who has similar concerns? Really not sure whether

mbc spread in bones and liver
Just wondering about others out there that have had success in treatment of MBC. After breast cancer and a mastectomy, chemo, and radiation and making my 5 years, I have now been told the breast cancer has moved to my liver and bones. Was taking Ibrance but apparently it stopped working. Now on Afinitor

👽Return of the Alien 👽
I haven’t been very active on the website recently but I always take time every day to read the trials and tribulations of so many brave women. I get strength from reading their stories . Now I need them more than ever. Since I was first diagnosed with PPC in 2011 this unwelcome visitor has arrived

Chemotherapy schedule okay?
I met my doctor today & he suggested 6 cycles of CAF every 21 days. I am 41 years old, TNBC, stage 2a, grade 2, all lymph nodes clear, margins clear. I had mastectomy on 15 June. My question is standard procedure for TNBC is 4 AC followed by 12 weekly taxol. Why is mine different??? Do i need to have
